F1 Testing 2010

Yup. :D Or a Pogo stick...

McLaren 1 - Ferrari 0

I loved that the Renault guys were laughing as well - no barrier in front of them...

Pointless sticking one infront of renault, they get away with it anyway. They could walk up to the back of the car with a ruler and tracing paper and still not get a penalty.

Ferrari made themselves to like right arses there, it's not like they don't do the exact same thing. Someone must be worried.

i dont see why you rate hamilton so highly already when he hasnt really proved anything other than he could win when he had easily the best car i certainly wouldnt be comparing him to alonso or schumacher.

all hamilton proved last year was that he could push when he didnt need to and not finish because of it.

frustration will get the better of him and he wont suit heavy fuel loads at all imo, he doesnt seem the type to take it easy and collect points never mind the type to settle into a race pace that conserves the tyres and brakes.

where ms is the exact oposite , he knows how to look after tyres , hes used to long stints from his ferrari days anyway and his driving style suits heavy fuel loads a lot.

hopefully we will get quite a few wet races like last year so he can show webber how a pro can drive in the wet instead of beeing scared of a bit of water :p

So much wrongness i dont know where to start.

Hamilton won in a year where the ferraris set far more fastest laps and despite a ridiculous decision that striped him of a win. the 08 mclaren was fast but the ferrari was faster. Afterall the 08 ferrari won nearly twice the amount of races as hamilton managed, not much point counting kovalainen as he only finished 7th in the same car.

Also last year showed that he can conserve tyres and brakes with the best of them in a dog of car and only once did he fail to finish a race last year due to pushing too hard and how dare a driver actually want to race for a better position!

Its easy to compare him to alonso as they raced in the same team for a year, a year where hamilton in his rookie season beat him, you can claim team bias as much as you like they were in the same cars on the same tracks.

were they?

try telling kova he was in the same car who always gets parts priority at mclaren again?

He also proved that he could beat a two times world champion over an entire season in the same car.

And what exactly is Schumacher's driving style? That would be a pointy front end with a mobile rear. Sounds strangely similar to LH's favoured style.

it would be this, surprisingly its different to pretty much everyone else

:p

What is interesting is that that article seems to suggest that McLaren have the 3rd best package, behind Ferrari and RedBull. If this is the case, then surely, without Hamilton/McLaren to stop them, 2010 will be an Alonso/Ferrari benefit?

Surely that depends on how much ahead or even IF redbull are ahead of ferrari. Vettel is barely good enough to fight Button in a championship fight let alone taking on alonso or hamilton but with a decent car advantage he could well beat ferrari.

I certainly wouldn't say it's nailed on for alonso if Hamilton isn't in the best car.

I would say competitive car not best.

I also dont think that the ferrari is as fast as most expect, ok theres a good chacne that statement is going to come back and bite me but during testing most of the ferraris long run pace was a good second off pace.
