F1 Testing 2014: Week 2 Bahrain

Horner really is a complete and utter ****....

IMO he is the best team principal currently in F1.

He is deflecting blame off of his own team/staff. Which is exactly what I would do.
He has lied on national tv repeatedly (and kept a straight face while doing so) while his team have bent the rules. If I owned an F1 team, Horner would be the guy who I hire.
If I want an honest guy who will help my team lose, Whitmarsh would be an excellent candidate.

But, I like to win ;)

Early days etc. but Williams are looking a bit more tidy compared to last year's testing.

Yes but lying and "bending the rules" doesn't always pay off, for instance, Flavio Briatore, with Renault, in 2008... He ain't doin' much winnin now :D

McLaren and Caterham got a huge number of laps in compared to everyone else.

Just 26 for Red Bull, and Lotus in the 20s too.

Flavio wasn't found guilty of anything. Symonds on the other hand admitted he was guilty.

Then why was he banned from the sport? He conspired to cheat if nothing else....

It was politics mainly.

The ban was overturned in a real court that follows the rule of law as oppose to an FIA circus. In fact he was even awarded compensation.

Ultimately he was in charge of the team so has to take overall responsibility for anything that happened under his watch.

That's the thing with Red Bull, I didn't even know Inifinti was a title sponsor. In fact if I was asked to write down 10 things to do with Red Bull F1 I doubt I'd even have remembered to name them as having anything to do with the team.

Of all the sponsorship deals with the big teams this one seems the lowest key that I can remember.

Red Bull to sell the team after 2015?

Although I would have said they would sell it to Nissan, but that seems unlikely?

(Also, Nissan in sticking their name against something successfull and jumping ship as soon as possible total non shocker. Grumble grumble Deltawing grumble grumble)

Although the Red Bull team itself would be massively better for anyone coming into the sport RB have been trying to sell Torro Rosso for at least two seasons and no one has been interested.

Marketing exercise in " keeping attention on brand" shocker :)

Wonder when Renault will let the teams use full power?

Riciardo does a 1.39,837 which is very good. If he had full power I think that would make him 2nd?
