F1 to consider AWD from 2021

True, but seeing one team dominate isn't generally conducive to good races. The only real exception is Mercedes when they let their drivers race. As we saw in Hungary even when Vettel has a problem, Raikkonnen knew not to even bother asking if he could be let past. When Ferrari dominate it's incredibly dull. The lame attempt at a photo finish in Austria between M.Schu and Rubens for example and 'Fernando is faster than you'.
1) I agree, the racing is usually incredibly boring, especially since 2014.
2) Mercedes more than most try to neuter it (see Abu Dhabi, which from their perspective made it more exciting for all the wrong reasons)
3) Ferrari haven't dominated since 2004, 17 years ago, and the vain photo finish attempt was in Indianapolis, not Austria.

You've got to be kidding me. Which other top team let's their drivers race like Mercedes? Had Red Bull, Ferrari, or McLaren had the advantage they had over the last three seasons, it'd have been worse.
Every team other than Ferrari.

Mercedes have been on overtime trying to tame their drivers until Rosberg retired. Prior to Abu Dhabi as I recall the last time another top team applied team orders for a podium finish was multi-21 more than four years ago.

Is weird thinking of that car ahead. F1 won't even be in free to air will it in any form?

In theory Sky could sell a highlights package (or even the full race if they wanted to) to a FTA channel. It doesn't seem likely though.

Less grip the better for fans
I tend to agree with this, although it is good to see the cars going so much faster this year.

F1 should do what the WWE did... release their own platform where fans can watch every race live, a catalogue where every old race is available on-tap and the behind the scenes type documentaries for those looking for more.

I haven’t watched wrestling seriously for 15 years but I subscribed when the WWE network launched (as I wanted to check it out) and for £9.99 it was awesome. As I described above doesn’t do justice.

Imagine a world where you’re paying purely for F1, have access to every session, old races and documentaries for less than a tenner! Shame that they signed the TV deal and that Sky would likely sue them to buggery if they did that... would be good though!

V8 Supercars has this for international fans in Superview. Only covers the current season for qualifying/races but is dirt cheap (~£27/year!). Great deal and I hope it keeps going!

I'd pay for that to be fair. Maybe even the WWE too if i can watch the RAW era on repeat! :D But going back to F1 what you described was exciting sounding until i checked how long the Sky deal had left. It runs until 2024... :( :( :(

Yes I find the F1 very boring lately. The races based on very scientific. (Spreadsheet). They have to drive at time of 1.20.xx per lap for first 20 laps then 1.19.xx for the rest of the race to save tyres and fuel. Etc

Almost every race, first person took the first corner wins the race.

I ditched sky cos I didn't think £35 ( even it was half price deal!) Was worth it at all.

In the last 12 months I watch F1 on CH4 and nowTV for £6.99. to be honest the in last few races on nowTV I wish ive watched the highlights on CH4 later in the day.

Might as well shorten the race to half, ie 30 laps so they'll flat out to first position, unlimited tyres, to make the race more interesting
