No, a 500 quid option is not having impact in holding the cars value. It's not one of the options that impacts residual in a noticeable fashion.

It does in the fact I'd pay more for a car with this option over another (assuming conditions are compatible)... perhaps that says more about me than anything else.

I think it does none of the park assist cars i found were any more expensive than those without it.

I reckon in London it would probably make a bit of a difference.
With the number of houses that only have on street parking in busy roads it becomes a chore to parallel park everywhere you go.

It won't park in a lot of the "free" spaces you find in London. It also gets a bit boring after a while.
