F3nix MS1.1

I'll have a couple of boxes at either side of the desk to keep cabling a bit tidier and hide some of the connections.

Forgot to take some pictures of the first few cuts but can still get a good idea of how it was done.

The boxes will screw onto the plates shown which in turn will be secured to the F3nix enclosure

Talking about connections and cables.

It makes me think about all the cable combs currently available to the public, well, I really like that but I guess I'll have to give it a bit of the F3nix treatment :D

I won't bore you with pictures of the CAD designing but here are a few ones of the finished article.

They went down so well that I have made a few to some people that asked for them...

Can you show us a pic of what tools and machines you are using to create all this? Is it all you're own gear in the garage/workshop? Just curious :)

The cable combs look great, just wondering what you made them with as they look very neat.

The cable combs are very nice. Keep up the good work.

Cheers mate

Good luck with Mod of the Month nomination.

Thanks Colin. Adda by Nexxo will be the clear winner but hoping to get second :D

Will take some pictures as soon as possible mate. A bit difficult at the moment as I'm painting the aluminium enclosure and the plastic sheeting is up in the garage. I'll detail it for now though:
Bending brake, fretsaw, bandsaw, table saw, mitre saw, dremel, drill, hand files, I believe that's mostly it.

Cable combs have been designed on Sketchup Pro and Rhino and laser cut

looking very interesting! :)

Thanks mate

Great attention to detail and workmanship, but not keen on the design personally. Good luck with the project and competition :) After all, looks are subjective!

Thanks Jellybeard :)

Im not really keen on desk builds but stuck with this thread.... and hats off to you mate!, quality craftsmanship and great ideas, just excellent all round. Would love to get some tips off you for when I start my scratch build this summer.
