Turned on my system this morning, got to the widows logon screen before bsod'ing, rather poor screen pic i managed to take with my phone below.

Upon reboot i did get into windows, but it crashed again with the same error. After a restart the primary hdd isnt detected on boot or in bios, optical drive and secondary 1tb hdd are detected. The drive is an oldish wd 250gb 5400 rpm drive that i was using as a stopgap after my ssd died, (ocz vertex 2e). Currently running memtest to see if ram is ok. System is in spec, all at stock.
