FA Charge NINE players!

Whilst i have to say some of the stuff from the Arsenal players was ott and deserving of investigation,i'd be lying if i said that i'm not happy with what they did :D
The whole situation got out of hand cos the Arsenal players think RvN is a big cheat -and i agree with them (so apparently, does his manager)
Call Keown a thug,a fool, whatever, but at least his actions were upfront for all to see,no sly digs,no feigning,no big girls blouse.

I also think it is a bit much for Man U fans to be giving lectures about the correct ettiquette to be used by redcarded players on leaving the pitch ;)

LOL :D. Yeah, sure mate .

RvN is no more nor less a cheat than Pires. In fact he's probably less. Very impressed with the way he walked off the pitch without losing the rag - a display of maturity the Arsenal players would do well to learn from.

Keane is a wimp mate, he might act hard on the pitch but he has been known to **** his pants in pub brawls, look for an aptx post, he is a man utd fan and even he was saying it, he explained it in a lot more details.

DvN cheats near enough every game, whether your winning or not. Pires has only done it when we needed a goal badly and were playing rubbish.

gooner are a bunch of thugs! i think they should be docked points and ban the players! they always blag it ... so i say FA come down on em hard! they are gonna have a wipping @ the chelsea game with the whole of defence banned!

they are a dirty team

It's a refreshing change to see such constructive critque. As for missing the Chelsea game, I doubt it. Each player has 14 days to respond (8th Oct) and ask for a personnal hearing, judging by Sol's Case, we are looking at Mid November.

At least this means Sol will be in the Clear. The same ref gave Vieria a yellow for what he viewed to be a kick, so how can Sol's be any different?

Anyone who thinks their will be a point deduction is a fool. It won't happen.

Why has Wenger been asked to speak to the FA? After all did Holliuer not call Jeffers a cheat and Neill a coward? The rumours are he will be using video evidence to back his claims about DvN dives. I wonder what the FA will do?

no odds to me! chelsea will rip em apart anyway.. the OI gooners are a poor team these days.. they are to tight to buy anyone good! so having the people banned for other games will suit be nice... they really do let the english game down... and that counts for there poor shows in europe year in year out! disgrace!

For future reference, that word isn't permitted in Sports Arena as was agreed in a debate on acceptable terms for other clubs some months ago. As a new member, you probably weren't aware as it's not really an overly offensive word in everyday society, but you can't use it here.

Jazz: I only made that joke because its obviously not true :)

Fully agree with the Viera charge, if your sent off, your off, start walking, get gone, get on with the game, being escorted off the field should not be required.

If only it was that easy. When you get sent off for something you do not feel deserves a sending off (not a particular debate on the Vieira incident) there's no way in the world you can just accept it and stroll off:)
I reckon some sort of suspended points deduction + a big fine will be levelled at Arsenal for this one, can't see them deducting points straight away. Anyway we want to win the title on our own:p
What was the outcome last time these 2 had a big flare up, a few years ago I think?

Use of the term "Scummers" is not allowed, as some regular posters were using the term to describe Manchester United and their fans. Saying you think someone is scum is perfectly acceptable.

Not having any bias at all in this I would just like to say that I watched the match. RvN did not do anything worthy of an FA investigation. He did deserve to be booked for his dodgy challenge where he ended up kneeling on Viera's(?) back.

When he missed the penalty he did not deserve to be taunted and provoked by the Arsenal players, who were screaming at him from point blank and shoving him around. This is not just handbags, but common assault. The Arsenal players surrounding and pushing him should have had hefty fines imposed on them, as well as decent sized bans. This kind of behaviour starts brawls. Arsenal Football Club should also be punished heavily for not controlling their players. We need to kick hooliganism out of football (which on Sunday I say a lot of hooliganism and players bringing the game into disrepute) and hefty punishments are the way to do this.

I do not see any need for a Manchester United player to be banned or fined (or even investigated) for the events which marred Sunday's match.

Probably right, but I believe there should be a points deduction from Arsenal. They are serious serial offenders, and previous punishments obviously haven't deterred them or stopped them doing it again and again. Their players' behaviour in that match was appalling and drags the entire name of football, even of this country, through the mud. It was an absolute utter disgrace and anything less than a points deduction - as well as hefty fines and long bans - will be inadequate punishment in my (unbiased ;) ) opinion.

Yes that was disgusting too but I don't remember the players slapping and pushing him around. Keown in particular lost his already tenuous grip on reality entirely and should face the harshest penalty.

Perhaps show him videos of Pires throwing himself over everytime someone stands near him.
Or Viera hurling himself into the air at every single tackle.
Or Bergkamps shoves and Elbows.
Or perhaps Keowns shirt pulling.
Or ashley coles fouling etc etc etc.
Mabye they will ask him to explain why that is acceptable to him, but if opposition players do it, it isnt:confused:

It's Vieira! Pires didn't dive vs Portsmouth. It wasn't a penatly. He knocked the ball infront of the defender then kicked the player, thus going down. (Le Tiss thought that's what he done aswell)

My point is he has been asked to talk to the FA about his comments, similar to what other managers have said, yet they were not.
He said RvN has a history of diving, if he proves this by video where does that leave the FA?
