City look so much less attacking, taking off Ireland, who was the only creative spark on the pitch, for Vieira who has been crap for years now was a joke. Bridge was actually very good, Petrov and Barry rarely passed to him but he made plenty of overlapping runs and got several good crosses in aswell as winning several corners.
Barry, Petrov, SWP and Zabaleta are all useless though, Barry more because he's being asked to play deeper, he has and never will be a DM and isn't very good defensively. Ade as a lone striker is awful because he's a lazy git unless the ball goes right too him, Given will kick it 60/70 yards, and Ade won't run 5 yards to challenge for it, exactly what he failed to do at Arsenal in all but a handful of games.
De Jong is more than good enough as the only DM in the team, they still need another winger or two and to get rid of Petrov and SWP. Yes he scored, but it was a brilliant pass from Ireland, he fluffed the touch(which really should have taken it straight in if he was decent) and required a monumentally stupid header from Shawcross to get his goal.
Thing is, much as I hate ADe, and hated losing to City, they have mostly been one of the few decent teams to watch this year in an attacking sense, the Utd/City games were fantastic, even the Arsenal/City game was a great game to watch. Mancini's turned them into a boring as crap side through choice rather than injury. Hughes was playing a very defensive midfield, because Petrov is crap, SWP was injured and Robinho wasn't fit.
Tevez can play lone striker, just, with a lot of work and pace with Bellamy in the mix, Ade on his own, with no effort or quality from the wings and they look awful.
