Only applies to the prem league if im correct, as it only affects the two teams playing and not the whole league.

Not necessarily. If you're referring to the recent [scandalous, imo] Blackpool fine, that was meted out by The Premier League, not the FA.

The only rule I can find - yes, I immediately went looking once I saw Man U's teamsheet - is this one:

Rule 15. Provisions concerning players

(a) Each team participating in a match shall represent the full available strength of each competing Club.

Which is pretty open to all sorts of interpretation.

It will be interesting to see if anything comes of it, but don't raise your hopes. This is one of the big teams, don't forget

That would apply if the team looses, if the team wins, there is no question of foul play, if the team looses, thats when questions of bringing the game into disrepute come into play.
