FA CUP FINAL ... Crystal Palace v Manchester United ... Saturday 21st May *** Spoilers ***

The fans dont want mickey mouse cup, they wanted CL. I think any fan would swap.

The cup is big for a club like Palace but not for Utd, it's not really worth celebrating all that much.

LvG wouldn't go upstairs as he was only ever going to be here for 3 years. He rubs peoples up the wrong way and if the rumours about Mourinho are true he wouldn't want LvG getting involved in anything. LvG will leave and never have anything to do with the club again. Why would they keep him on in any capacity when his 2 years have been such a disaster.

Still can't believe United are not going to have a victory parade if they win, ridiculous especially as it will be the only thing we've won in a while IF we win, (I'm expecting a drab game of fightball where we get lucky and score a sloppy goal for a 1-0 victory)

Also be like Liverpool and set out the parade root before they win...........if that isnt an omen for bad luck , I dont know what is

They are very good friends so it might work if LvG went upstairs for a year , but he does rub people up badly the wrong way so I can see your point

Zaha not injured apparently.

Not sure how to feel about today, if we win it'll be nice to win a trophy again, even if it is the FA Cup (look at recent finalists etc).

Lose and the 98% chance LvG gets the sack becomes 100%. Shouldn't really matter either way though.

I saw the lineup and thought, is Mata playing in AM? But lol no, of course it's Fellaini there and Mata as right winger. The Van Gaal lunacy has to continue :D

Bit of old skool 80's stuff going on after the Scottish cup final. Hibs fans have invaded the pitch, had a few punch ups with Rangers fans now the police horses are on to calm things down!!

Have you seen us in the last few years? We are not the best in Europe anymore, so the fact we might actually win the F.A Cup this year, is something to celebrate at the end of an otherwise **** season yes.

Wow ok. I mean if you're Crystal Palace fan sure but Manchester United celebrating 5th in the league, humiliation in Europe and then win a domestic cup that no big teams care about? That would be pathetic.

Just looking at this lineup and you can see how far LvG has taken us back (or rather not taken us forward) We still have a central midfielder on right wing, a **** right winger at right back, our midfield is a mess of past it strikers and people that barely even qualify as footballers.

Maybe you need to check out the history of the F.A Cup before you dismiss it as a cup that no one cares about and is "unimportant"

Sure that must be why Crystal Palace are in the final, and last year it was Villa, Hull City the year before. History is exactly what the FA Cup is. Do you think Utd would have rather come 4th or win the cup? The cup is largely irrelevant. I mean Arsenal have won it twice in a row, how has that success been received?

I think you need to realise that football has moved on significantly for the top teams if you are really trying to debate the relevance of the FACup

The only reason Man Utd even slightly care is because Arsenal currently hold the record of wins

For the smaller teams of course its important, but for the larger teams - no not really - maybe if the team is going for the treble /quadruple then fair enough or if you havent won it for a long time (like Utd) but generally it really doesnt matter apart from to blood younger players / keep the squad match fit

Do you watch the Mexican cup final? No, Spanish? Italian? Probably not. Will most football fans in those countries be watching the F.A Cup final?.....Damn right they will.:p
