FA Cup weekend and midweek Prem Games up to the 27th **SPOILERS**

The penelty was given at 94minutes 46 seconds, it was within the 5 minutes alloted extra time.

This what he was getting at was that the 5 minutes came from nowhere really. How the ref/4th official came up with that figure was a bit of a mystery. 3 minutes would have been reasonable, 4 at a stretch.

Not sure though.

Gotta say a lot of teams are having Fergie time added on. We had 5 minutes the other day.

It's either due to better time keeping or refs' being plain forgetful. :p

How frustrating, why hasn't Nani played like that for the past 18 months? Brilliant performance

Our form is coming good right at the right time, we were brilliant against Wigan at the end of December, had one of those days against Leeds fair enough but a good away performance against Birmingham a good win against Burnley definitely deserved more from the performance against City and some great attacking play today especially from the Rooney & Owen partnership and Nani out on the right

Really looking forward to Wednesday :)

With Rooneys performance you should get an extra £10m when you sell him in the summer now ;)

Stand him up and games won, he wouldnt have cut the ball across, even if he managed to, Leeds had no-one in the box to latch on to you. Looking forward to the replay.

Don't know what game you were watching. Becchio was inside the six yard box waiting for it.

Seriously, you're going to talk about good form because you managed to beat some attrociously bad sides, draw with Brum who are pretty good and lose to both City and a team two leagues below.

I mean honestly, beating Hull, Burnley and Wigan, losing 2 and drawing one...... thats good form.......... really?

Thing with Nani is, has he ever played well against a decent side in a pressured game? No, can he play well in preseason, and in that final group game in the Euro cup where the result didn't matter, well he played better.

Sounds like Utd had a great game today but it was Hull, who are pretty god damned awful and I wouldn't get too carried away with talking up your form by listing that set of results.

I'm also under the impression Owen started with Rooney today, so does it turn out that Fergie's a pratt for saying they can't play well together? LIkewise, did Rooney mostly take up the more creative withdrawn role today with Owen further ahead looking to get in behind?

guess how many goals we scored when Owen was on and after Owen came off.

1 and 3 probably, but did he play well and create space for rooney is the question. Tiring defences trying the old "holding out" tactic(if they were, I assume so based on the Spurs/hull game) tend to concede heavily late in a game, so when the goals were scored could mean everything, or entirely nothing at all. The question is did they play well together, and did a game with Rooney playing in his better position where he can be creative and get on the ball, give him the confidence to play well later in the game.

Rooney was utterly useless against City for 70 minutes, the last 20 minutes he ran riot, and thats when Rooney was running around the box making space and dragging defenders around.

Arsenal fans should know the answer to this one surely?
He single handedly dumped you out the cup a couple seasons ago.

Owen and Rooney both dropped off, If one dropped, one stayed up, Owen had 3 to 4 good chances that he missed, he really should have done better, but he hardly plays so thats understandable, what mattered today is that it rubbed fergusons face in the fact that playing two up front means Rooney doesnt have to single handedly beat the whole of the oppositions defense to get a sniff at goal.

Most interesting thing today, is that even against Hull, Park looked ******* woeful, he couldnt get past his man, his passing was terrible and he looked like he was running through treacle.

Gibson when he came on misplaced virtually every single pass he attempted and was nothing short of atrocious.

United could have scored more with some height up front, The way Nani was pinging those crosses in, they could have got a hatfull.

Damn, I agree with everything atpbx has said !

Gibson is not United quality yeah he can smash a football but he can not pass well enough.

Today especially in the first half showed that if teams give Scholes space he can still cut them to pieces, a class above every single centre midfielder we have when it comes to passing and it hurts to know that he is coming to the end of a magnificent career.

Owen should have scored but his general play was impressive – Rio brought calm to our defence and actual won aggressive defensive headers instead of doing a Brown and letting it bounce first...

Well done to Leeds, gutsy performance.

Thought Rose was poor apart from winning the penalty, almost like playing with 10 men. Jenas was pretty poor, especially defensively. Missing Huddlestone and Lennon badly.
I would rate Dawson up their with King, but his past two games have been pretty poor. Before that, he had been, easily, one of the best centrebacks of recent weeks.
I really do hope you aren't a Spurs fan! Even with his knee's like they are King is still twice the player Dawson will ever be.
I've never seen him do anything worthy of Prem status. He must have something about him, Harry is no mug and he made him captain today, I've just never seen it. He was dire at Forest too.
While Dawson is far from world class or anything, he's a decent no nonesense type CB to have as backup. Certainly wouldn't class him as 'dire' though...

Wonder if we could get Beckford for £1m + Rose during this window? :D

I said our form is starting to come good, which it is

As atpbx said Nani's best game was in the FA Cup a couple of seasons ago against some team from North London, completely took the **** out of them in his very ever appearance against them. Maybe look it up on youtube....
