Wasn't this the season that Wenger guaranteed to end the clubs 5 year wait for a trophy? Granted at the moment they're in title race (although with their fixture list coming up I can see them being out of it again come the end of Feb) and they're in the Champions League but surely the safe bet for a trophy would have been the Carling Cup and FA Cup and in both Wenger has played under strength teams and has been found out.

Arsenal's first team has a horrendous record at Stoke as it is so what was he thinking putting out that team today?

Jeez, yet another tough home draw for Chelsea:mad:
Last year we had to play Southend, Ipswich, Watford, Coventry then Everton on our way to winning it and this year we've had Watford, Preston & now Cardiff, it's definitely a fix, I bet we get Reading/WBA if we get through:rolleyes:

Gutted. Can understand the selection given both our fixture and injury lists, and how we're right back in the league title hunt now, but I still we might have just passed up our best chance of a trophy this season. I don't usually blame Wenger for our woes, but this has only gone to highlight the blatant fact that we only have two decent, fit, central defenders at the club, and there really isn't any decent reason why.

Leeds' cup for the taking now.

It must sicken you playing all those incredibly tough teams. :p

LOL at all the arsenal supporters on here all from locations not in North London funnily enough :D. You sound just like your manager just get over it!

Fabregas is a wonderfully talented player but why is he such a cry baby? He's like that kid at school that is great at footie but as soon as the bigger boys try to tackle him he cries and takes his ball home.

Blah blah long throw ins heard it all before. We don't have the luxury of spending £16 million on ONE player but oh well we will battle on.

Next time we will try not to get in your way im very sorry for little stoke spoiling your day. Apologise from all of us in little stoke on trent

Didn't you guys bid that sort of cash for Bent?

Apparently but thats the media for you.

Still point stands arsenal have for more luxury than stoke. We have to be physical and play to our strenghts (throw ins) to beat established teams like arsenal. There manager just expects us to back off and let them win becuase they are more elite than us.

I have no problem with throw ins, I am an Arsenal fan fyi, it's just that Delap takes over 30seconds a throw in and that time is not added to the end of the halves.
