We can hardly say on here;) It was the 2nd worst swear word, but what do they expect from a 17year old lad scoring his first goal in that situation.

Well done to Micah, played with heart and gutso and got a well deserved goal in the end :)

Anyone trying to berate him for saying the f word on telly - give him a break, he just took the first step to becoming a City legend :cool:

I didn't actually hear him but was told he answered '****** unbelievable'.

You can hardly blame him. He was obviously buzzing and he is only 17 after all.

more injuries aswell ,rochemback is out for the rest of the season :/

I'm sure i heard Mourinho saying that the pitch would be re-layed straight after the Colchester match. I can't seem to find any information if this has happened though. Maybe i was hearing things!? :confused:

That'd be worse than the pitch they have now and a complete waste of money, it'd get torn to shreds.

My mistake, sorry. Its not going to happen.

"Ok," he said. "We'll change the pitch on Sunday after the game against Colchester. The game finishes at 6pm and I hope at 6.30 the machinery goes in to leave a perfect pitch for Barcelona.

"You believe that? Do you think it's true? Ha!

It's hard to understand Portugese sarcasm sometimes! :p

You're not going mad, JM said this at a press conference on Friday:

“The pitch we change on Sunday after the game,” he said. “We finish at six o’clock and I hope at six-thirty the machinery goes in to change it and leaves a perfect pitch for Barcelona.”

But he was only kidding;)
He's not happy about the state of the pitch but nothing can be done now & it doesn't actually play that bad if yesterdays game was anything to go by, it just looks rubbish, rather like Man.U's did earlier in the year.
He also said this, which is a fair comment:

“Barcelona can think what they want. We have no technical players. We have no skilful players, we have just the kind of players that kick the ball and run,” he continued with more than a hint of sarcasm.

“Robben, Duff, Wright-Phillips, Lampard. We have no technical players and because we have no technical players we need a potato field. So we play on a potato field.

“Only stupid people can think that a team like Chelsea with the qualities we have can be happy to have this pitch at this time.”

Which is why they can't replace it.

They've had trouble for some time now.

One note i forgot to mention earlier was why we (united) didnt have a man on the line for when Crouch scored. Its usually common practise and would have prevented the goal since the ball didnt fully cross the line until it had rolled all the way along and hit the opposite post.

It wasnt from the corner, so the players had come off the line

Thats someone at fault then. Either VdS for telling the players they should come off the line, or the players for leaving their post before the ball was cleared.

Crouch was completely unmarked so someone had lost their man too.
 
Poor defending all round then.

Was a fairly lucky goal still though. it wasn't in til it hit the side netting on the opposite side of the goal.
