FA Cup weekend and other football games *SPOILERS*

Fully deserved win by Liverpool! United's midfield were totally outplayed hence why we were dire.

Can I just say the BBC's coverage is so crappy in comparison to Sky. The commentators are absolute rubbish, the analysis is crap (Ian Wright? Why?) and to top it all of the only highlight they show at the end is the goal. No interviews? Please BBC don't bid for the football

Crap. Can't expect much with that midfield tbh.

Smith is really worrying though, looked like a horrible injury, RvN couldn't bare to look..

Hope he gets sorted soon :(

Don't think that was quite 7 minutes at the end though...

They normally keep it short at the end, and the game over running cut into that time heavily.

Liverpool deserved to win. I really hope Smith's injury isn't too bad, although I fear it is. He made a real difference once Flake was taken of the pitch.

So instead of bringing on a left back in Evra, Ferguson pushed Lister (a midfielder) to left back and brought on a striker. Sheer genius!!! Tactics..... tactics..... what tactics... poor display of football, how many of our players have forgotten how to pass a ball or cross?? I'm royally ****** off at the minute.

Van Der Sar
G. Neville Vidic Brown Evra
Ronaldo Smith Park Giggs
Rooney V.Nistelrooy

Was that too much to ask for??

Silvestre and Smith injured, and I think Rooney will be carrying a knock as well :(

Hate watching footy on bbc with John Motson commentating I'm sure he was wearing a man utd shirt whilst commentating. Man utd this and man utd that ,still the disappointment of the footy being on bbc was made up for a liverpool win :)

Poor Smithy, nothing worse than seeing a player who really cares get injured. :( The only player who showed any commitment in midfield and what does he get for it? A broken leg. Really feel for him, I hope he can make a full and speedy recovery though any slim chances of him making the WC have now gone I suppose.

In the game I felt a replay would have been a fair result though, apart from the two Liverpool headers it was a very even game.

I feel sick.

That was a horrifying performance for so many reasons. Smith's injury looks awful, looked like his ankle bent under him and looked like a break :( He showed real class and guts imo for not rolling about and crying like a little girl.

When it comes down to it, we lost today because of our horrible coaching staff. Why have we decided to go back to 4-5-1 in arguably our biggest match of the season so far?

Park and Ronaldo have been hugely successful as a wing pair in the last few games and to suddenly change that and stick Rooney wide was a horrifically poor choice.

Once again Fergie showed a complete lack of sense and balls with his substitutions. Park should have come on in the second half as it was blatently our MF that needed some injection of pace and desire. Saha looked lost again, faffing around and holding play up when a simple pass would have cut Liverpool open. One chance in particular where it was 2 on 3 and Saha tried to go past the defender when he could have slid Roo through the middle.

I hate to say it, but Smith didn't need to be injured at all. What is the rationale of bringing Smith on for Fletcher in the 80th minute when he's being played as a DMF?!??! What attacking options does that give us? Park on for Giggs was the better option imo, but then when we're trying to play with 3 CFs it limits the options a fair bit.

As for the BBC coverage it is horrific. Their replays are nonexistant, the camera work is absolutely **** and the commentary was dire. If this is how they plan to cover the World Cup then it's going to be a real let down. 'Reina didn't have a save to make in the first half' - so did Ronaldo's shot in the 10th minute just hit a bad air current?

Also, I was absolutely sickened by the timewasting from the Liverpool crowd, particularly that one **** who threw the ball away from G.Nev. and the other guy who threw the burger.

Interesting game, I feel sorry for Smith, hope it's not as bad as it looked, did you see the slow mo re-play? he landed on his foot really bad.
The pool deserved the win, they dominated every area of the pitch!
Looking forward to this afternoons match. Come on the Toon!!!
As far as sky vs. the beeb go, Sky is definetly better but I thought that BBC did a fairly good job today. As for the argument that there wasn't enough analysis at the end, they had to make way for the Olympics.

I'm glad someone agree's with me about the coverage. It was like watching amateurs compared to sky's coverage. When Smith was injured you could clearly see that it was his ankle/lower leg that he had broke when his foot hit the ground, yet they were still chatting on about him being caught by the liverpool player? Terrible coverage.

Man Utd dont need Vidic and Evra and rubbish players like that we need a playmaker in Midfield a big name then we maybe able to do better. Since Roy Keane left and Scholes is out we have no drive in Midfield no leaders. It was really woeful from Utd Fergie really frustrates me with his decisons for the past year ahhhh. :( :(
