FA Cup weekend and other football games *SPOILERS*

I didnt see who the Liverpool player was crouching over Smithy
but i saw him put his hand up to block Smithys view when he looked down

Fair play to whoever it was

He went a nasty shade as well as he was lying on the floor :(

Get well soon Al

i realised just how bad it was when i saw RVN walk over then wince and walk away.

Ronaldo seemed pretty emotional about it to

Yeah, their reactions said it all, it was really hard to watch. When they zoomed in on his face as well he looked a real mess, he was so pale.

It was Gerrard.
At first it didnt look too serious as he was sitting up, not until you see Van Der Sar calling the physio on that you could tell it was a nasty one.

the reactions reminded me of the Man City derby match years back when David Busst (sp?) broke his leg in the penalty box near Schmeichel. Schmeichel had counselling after that. The same look was on Van Der Sars face today. That was the last game David Busst played, he almost had his leg amputated and had 15 operations on his leg I think.

Fair play to Gerrard for trying to cover Smith's face from looking at the injury, and to the Liverpool doctor who quickly ran out to help and also the Liverpool fans who clapped him off the pitch.

Wow, it's heart-warming to hear of such great actions in todays game; not something you see often. Kudos to Gerrard and the Liverpool Fans - also the Liverpool Physio who I saw help.

I agree.
I dont usually like Gerrard. But after hearing what he did, although it was a small thing, ive got a new found respect for him.

It was they way he tried to stand up the ref and Brown were holding him
and then brown got behind him and laid him down

But im sure that ******* ref was trying to get him to stand up

the BBC camera men did their best to not show anything bloody or gross. But from the reactions of the players and doctors around him, it was. I'm absolutely gutted for him and I hope it's not as bad as everyone thinks it is. Otherwise he'll be out for more than a year if he's lucky, and if not, that was possibly the last game he's played. :( Apart from Rooney he's the only player we have in the entire squad with some heart and drive.
