Fable 2

Mine keeps saying something about an assassination job, but then it then immediately says the job has ended, wtf?

Mine is exactly the same. I think the Bloodstone one is the only furniture shop I found apart from this and that had plenty of stuff.

Is there any bookshops to find apart from the Bowerstone one?

Fable II is a glitchfest, I married someone, took them to Serenity Farm and now they're nowhere to be found. Despite them supposedly being there. :/ I also keep finding myself with Dye being removed, or my gloves just disappearing.
 
Guys, I just finished the Cruicible and am meant to get on a boat, but have been urged by Teresa to explore the lands and finish off remaining quests. This to me sounds like I am very close to the end - how close am I? Bloomin short as hell game if I am close to the end!

about 3-4 hours from the end i would say, and that's probably a conservative estimate

Maybe about 2-3 hours, tops? I did loads of quests and stuff at this point, but I don;t think any of it was mandatory to continue. POssibly Theresa says you have to go and see your wife and family before you get on the boat or something? Also I think now you finished Crucible you can buy some new buildings. Which were not available before.

I've only just started playing this, about 3 hours in. I put my gypsy hut up for rent right at the start but dont appear to have ever had any earnings from it. Is there something you need to do to start the money coming in?

Do you mean you dont get 7G every 5 minutes while playing, or you dont get anything when you log on the next day?

If its the second, then check the date/year on your xbox.
 
Anyone else spend ages wondering how god damn stupid the designers were to put some stupid bugged npc in the game that appears to insult you no matter where you are?

Later i found out it was a gargoyle! Well i knew they were in the game, i just didn't haev a clue what they looked like or that they were insultign me till i relised he said "i may be made of stone" i was like... o my how stupid i have been.
