Fable 2

anyone else unable to complete the "love hurts" quest? I can't give the last item to the person who needs it (randomly the person also ran away from their house and refuses to go back).

Good game on the whole but a few bugs and an overall feeling of it being dumbed down have spoilt it for me a little. Also would be nice to be able to have multiple save games.
 
Just about to start this game, does it matter what gender my character is at and does being good or bad affect the course of the game? ie, makes it easier or harder on the journey?
 
Doesn't make any difference and the whole game is pretty easy whether you are good or bad, although as with most games like this, you get the most benefit from being extremely one way or another.
 
Just finished this. Doing the little trick to get all 3 end game achievements as we speak :p

I never really understood the story of this game, so I guess that didn't help, but I thought the end was rubbish. In fact, the story never really gripped me.
 
Just a question, just bought my first house for rent, do i still get goal even when the machine is off? Also, where other the other jobs in the market? I can only find the blacksmith one, which is quite hard getting pass 6/7 chains.
 
More jobs come up later in the game, like the bartender and woodcutter, both are far easier than the blacksmith, which i found hard to to do for *** last promotion, think my best combo was 20
 
just started this meself - will reserve judgement for later.

blacksmith is fairly easy to get money best combo 10 so far. Bought up some market stalls. Quite like the gambling though.

Not sure about the "dialogue/emotion" system. Basically feels like no-one talks they just make faces at each other heh.

Does the store make you money while you are away from it ?

I thought about buying that because they are quite cheap but i didn't know the answer to the above question so i opted for a house instead.

Yeah. I made the mistake of buying the smaller market stalls first. Go for the bigger establishments like a pub or a smithy, since they'll provide you with a bigger amount of cash per 'tick'.

You do earn money whilst you are offline from the game. I got about 245k this morning upon coming on :p

I got a Hammer Doll from the shooting range, did you get second place for that?

I've got the dragon pistol for getting 1st place, love it, well worth the hour of practising it took for me to get the required points (ok well, maybe not :p)

well its only 2 or 3 of the cheapo stalls (only 1k to buy so thought i might as well)

but yeah im sure i made about 440 when i was out for 20 mins or so. I get about 48 every 5 mins. So bought meself some new clothes, decent sword and gun, some condoms and the come hither expression and im set for a nite on the razz :D
 
There appears to be no limit amount of time you can marry (I think), and i can even marry the same sex....i wonder you get a child too.
 
The LE edition was completely not worth it. I wish I just bought the standard edition of Fable 2. I want a free exclusive for Fable 2 LE users. :mad: All you get with LE with a bunch of videos on a disc which have been free to download over live for free for ages. The Halo stuff was pointless has they add nothing to the game.

Ok, just realise a few things.

1 - Getting married is not worth it, she keep wanting to have sex, a bit hard when the journey is 30hours and by the time you get there she isn't horny anymore ! Not to mention she takes an upkeep from you everyday. Having unprotected sex in a video game is quite odd though...between 2 women.

2 - Wear nice clothes is everything, get some really good clothes and everyone will just head over heels to you.

3 - it is impossible to stay pure, not if you want to do all the side quest, i inadvertently started the shadowsomething's quest, looking for people for sacrafies, and now I have this blue glow all over my body.

4 - Walk around in your underwear can get you fined $10 !

5 - Having that magic button on B is dangerous, many times i press B to come out of the menus only to press it 1 too many and use magic, they get scared and run away and i get more evil !

p.s. how much do i need to donate in the well of light thing to succeed ?

yep - i scare everyone away - fearmonger me.. they still love me though :D popped me cherry with the barmaid she had the cheek to ask me to improve my looks and then ran off afterward. The other hussys wouldnt give me one unless i married em - ha!
