Why wouldn't you want a bezel free smart phone? The notch is temporary until they figure out how to do away with it. I don't get the fuss.

That's exactly it though - it's a half arsed design compromise for an idea that isn't quite ready yet.

In terms of why I want bezels it's to house the speakers and front facing camera. That's one thing Samsung seem to have got right with their current handsets.

When I have been using my Phone for a while I find it a pain going back to the iPad with finger scanner. I was all set that I would hate Face ID but tbh after a year of using it I wish my iPad had it too. I really like it and it works well for me.

Im wondering if the new phones will have Face ID 2? Ideally faster and works in any orientation?

With touchid, the 5S introduced it, but we only got touchid V2 with the iphone 6S, which was significantly quicker and more reliable.

Yeh that's interesting, hmmm I think face id works pretty well but it does need v2 IMO just to be a little snappier and also landscape unlock is seriously needed.

I don't understand why apple can't do landscape unlock, simply rotate the scan 90 degrees in software would surely be an easy work around if the scanner itself can only work one way up.....scan, rotate, analyse?
