I get nothing from it because I don't use it outside of messenger. The fact you can use it without issue means absolutely nothing. Its been used to swing election and is responsible for the horrible dissemination of misinformation that kills people. Facebook was the start of massive scale social media that is a horrible scourge on society.

I can eat healthily and exercise so i'm not overweight, that doesn't mean that most people can...
 
Been about 10 years since I deleted my account and not missed it one bit, it literally adds zero benefit to your life.

That isn't Facebook though, that is brain dead people, if it wasn't Facebook it would be something else like trashy newspapers, etc.

I'm on many Groups to do with CCTV, lots of rock bands, my own Group helps 11,500 people to find local gigs, eBikes, musical instrument pages, a superb Group for our NHS Staff and NHS Pensions, several Historical Sites and loads of others.
All stuff I can't get from this Social Media site, what's not to like.
If grown ups don't know how to set it up to only get what they want then I feel sorry for them.

I never see any on the Groups I'm part of, it's hard to be an idiot talking about CCTV, musical instruments and a load of others I've mentioned so perhaps it's the Groups you want to be a part of.
I do get annoyed in the GHOST Group devoted to the rock band, seems to be a lot of teenage girls in there now but I don't often go in.
 
Also thought I was hacked until down detector eased my worries. I’d kinda love to delete it, but not enough to pull the trigger. Removing the apps has meant I go on A LOT less. Happy with that, for now.

retards was probably a bit harsh to be fair but I wasn’t trying to offend you - I certainly wasn’t trying to tar you with that moniker. I was simply pointing out that ‘undesirable’ posts and people can appear in your Facebook no matter how locked down you have it and I used your own post to highlight that.

Good to know though you follow me on here well enough to know my posting ‘style’

I don't follow anybody but when I see a certain posting style I look left sometimes and it's "Oh him again".
I just scroll on by with the majority.
 
Annoyingly I thought I’d been hacked so followed the procedure to get a one-time code - I must have tried a few times because now it says I’ve requested too many and can’t log in. :o

Have had to go through the submit ID rigmarole, but it’s rather nice being left alone for the evening!
