It seems that a lot on this forum read the Daily Mail, judging by the posts about articles in this paper.
I don't agree with the whole article, but to me Twitter is the place where the morons hang out, who is interested in knowing if an over payed prima donna uses X paper to wipe his backside.
What is the point of Twitter and other sites like it ?.

Ever since the launch of Twitter - I am still unable to answer this question. What's the point??

Facebook, however I do get the point of it. A way to communicate with family members and friends you don't see often. I still speak to all my friends in UK. (I have since moved back home to SA:cool:)

But Twitter? Seriously?

i actually agree (yes cant beleive iv said it)
fb - an excuse for the vain , hopeless individuals out there to further their attempt at a 'life'

not all fb users are like that tho, but you know the ones: constantly updating ****, putting photos, spamming everyones walls, commenting on everything......

Wow, I'm unpopular ....

I only have 23 friends on facebook :(

Maybe I should just start adding random people to bring it up to the same several hundred that everyone else has :(

Or not.

On a serious note, pretty much everyone suffers from low self-asteem now and again, and people now manifest that feeling towards FB.

I myself constantly check FB during the day, its a way of having a laugh and keeping up to date with people, and reading any funny links and/or videos that might be posted, sometimes its the only 'socialising' I can do!

Self promotion has always been around, or the need to let people know what they've recently done or got, FB just makes it a lot more easier and blatant I guess.

ADD ME I WANT MOAR FRIENDS LOL.

I admit I use facebook a lot. I have spent all my life moving around and phoneing all my old friends costs more money than sending a quick message on facebook or speaking on chat.

Some people on there do annoy me though with their status updates. I dont care if you are going for a shower really tell me something interesting.
