I organise pretty much every night out by phone takes all of 5-10 minutes to invite 10 people out probably.
Not like people are on facebook every hour of every day but chances are, people will have their mobile on them, instant communication.

I don't get why you're defending facebook so much, I'm always just going to see it as a pile of **** and pretty much useless. Because it is to me, seems like a really pointless way to communicate, email is faster even, and tbh if someone changes their email address they're going to tell you.

I'm not defending it at all, I don't have a facebook profile myself, I was just giving reasons as to why people might use it in favour of other means of communication.

People DO use it, a lot, so somewhere your logic of why people shouldn't use it is flawed, I was just trying to help you out!

Knew it was a publicity stunt.

Otherwise why star-out the swearies? Why mention pedophiles, but only with regards to them being 'child eaters'? Why wouldn't it all have been removed quicker?

I'm not sure what to make of it, it seems way too in your face to be a publicity stunt 'Merry Christmas Pedos'.. 'Find Childrens Parties' what kind of publicity would that generate, only the kind that gives it a brief burst of hits for however long the change is in place for. More to the point it will make users think the site owner is melon. A move like this will surely damage any future advertising with companies on faceparty, what company would want to be linked to a site that even itself adverts its a place for pedos.

With a closer look it seems like the admin has totally lost the plot. See a reference on wiki from an image stating why the site was closed for 24hrs, seems like the users have been grinding him down, if that is true or not dunno. I'm not bothered in the slightest I don't even use the site.. but the admin will probably regret what he has done, probably the most stupid idiot move i've seen a large website do, really.

I think the main reason some people don't use Facebook is that they don't have enough friends for it to be useful. They should try meeting some people, the pubs good for that.
