Hi All,

Need alittle advice.

I have a Raid 0 setup using two 2TB identical drives. after an unexpected boot one of my drives are coming up as None Raid Member causing my raid to fail. The Drive has not failed! it is just the raid that has failed.

Is there a way to rebuild the raid without losing all my data?

The raid is on PCI raid card. I can clearly see, when going into options that one of the disks are part of the raid and one is not.

The only options I have in the raid manager are to

Delete the Raid
Convert HDD to none Raid member

All other options like Create Raid or resolve Mirror conflicts won't allow me to do anything as they aren't relevant.

Any advice from someone that has managed to rebuild a raid would be great, thanks!

Not very helpfull i know but data can be recovered using a data recovery program...but i cant remember what one :(

Had to do it a few years back on a customers failed raid setup when one of the drives was faulty....not the same as your situation i know but data wont be lost.

Looked like the link Wazza posted helped somebody, although I've gotta ask what an earth possessed you to set up a RAID 0 array with 2X2TB drives? I just hope nothing important was saved on them and that you've also got a good backup solution....

When this happened to me I only the other day (my fault) and I had one raid member fail I had to start again
