OP just want to use this story to attack the left and CNN and co as opposed to have any opinion on the story. (I mean one minute he calls them fake news yet he reads their site and uses them as source?!)

Nothing more. He is getting rather transparent.

It’s funny how he doesn’t post a thread every time an actual hate crime happens but would post one when a made up one does.

Have an agenda much? Biased?

You could say the same thing about most of the regular posters in the Trump thread tbh..

In fact this story appeared in there when originally reported complete with the allegations that they were shouting something about MAGA etc...

I suspected this story had more going than meets the eye when the first reports started to break as the events as told just didn't seem to make much sense and it now looks likely that it has been faked for an unknown reason. With the history of racial tension that Chicago has it'll be interesting to see, if Smollet is charged for a fake race-hate report, just what the Police will charge him for, because would making a false claim about 2 white people attacking a black man be considered a race-hate crime in itself?

Also, people having a pop at tang0 for posting this story yet none having a pop at the actor who it is now being accused of faking a race-hate crime to trigger more anti-Trump hate. I keep talking about the anti-Trump echo chamber this forum has in the Trump thread in SC, where looking at an event in a single specific way can leave you blind to the truth when it disagrees with your views, but it's a shame to see people post multiple times here yet ignoring a fairly important race-hate story, especially as it now is starting to look likely that it was all fake. You would think that after having a known fake event like the initial Covington reporting, where the anti-MAGA reaction is more important that the actual truth, happen so recently that people might be a little more cautious with instantly believing a story just because it fits your own narrative, regardless of how true it is or not. It's a shame really.

Back to this story though and it's blizzare.

I don't get why he got them to actually pour bleach on his face if he wanted to fake a story. He's an actor so he (partly) relies on that face to get work...

Are there any pictures of the effect it had on his skin?
 
It's not that strange when you look at all the circumstances and who Smollet is.

Infact this was first called BS by a huge amount of the black community who know Chicago when it first broke and several got serious amounts of abuse from the SJW brigade.

Smollet only claimed he had bleach poured over him. The official report called it an unknown substance. Even if it was bleach, it's a skin irritant and would only cause injury if ingested. There are pictures of him in hospital with a swollen cheek but no obvious skin burns or bleaching.

He's a vociferous critic of Donald Trump and there was unsubstantiated claims he received threats from Trump supporters before this. He was also being written out of Empire with no new roles in the pipeline and is due to release a music record. If this was a genuine attack he would have been winning all over the place.
