That was Mussolini wasn't it? I don't care who's face is on my banknotes, if they are worth what they say they are that's good enough for me.
Deutsche Reichsbahn was definitely in Germany!

Do your research...The real question is why people who've never paid any attention to what is on the back side of a bank note are suddenly outraged when the design changes and the back side gets a new picture of something different, when they've never cared about it in the past.
It's absolute nonsense the way some people have got their knickers in a twist with some imagined slight to British history when it comes time to change the bank notes, as normal, and suddenly the note has to keep the same politician on it forever or it's hating British history, when the reality is that we've always changed the notes every few years.
No people of colour? That's racist mate.People who I would like to see on the British's note at some point... yes I know some of them are still alive but when the time comes...

Hmm, not sure about Alex Ferguson. If I was going for an historic sports personality I probably go with Bill Richmond.

Joking aside, I'd actually quite like to see some bank notes featuring some of the iconic children's show characters and presenters I grew up with. Obviously there's a level of bias there, but the likes of Sooty and Sweep, Thomas the Tank Engine etc are definitely generational and very "British" in my mind.
