did a search for posts, no one posted it yet.

got this album, had a few listens, its great :D its strange at first with some different styles in, like a whole piano song (sorry for lack of technicality here ;)) and they even start singing 'Hallelujah' in one song.

overall i love it, anyone else got it yet? if you havnt i suggest you buy it if you like a bit of F.O.B.

p.s. might get some rap fans slaughtering my post, i had a go at rap, hehe, :p

edit: i did, skip to post #24 if you wanna miss out some pointless argument

lol, and lol.

I quite like FOB, but the song they've been playing on radio1 is pretty dire in my opinion. Not interested in the new album if that's the best they can do.

yea, theres nout similar to that song on the album tbh, theres a few normal good fob songs and a few different ones, 'This aint a scene' which is the single, is a different one. if you get the album i doubt youll be disapointed, i think they kinda of experimented with different sounds a bit.

I say this as a music fan, not a rap fan but Fall-Out Boy are to Rock Music as George W Bush is to international relations.

every band has its own style, if you choose not to put them into a certain genre then well done you, go listen to rap music, because that has a deffinate genre, because its all the same, please dont start a row over music, i was asking opinions on the new album.

anyone got any respectable opinions on the new album?

No thanks; listening to Your Enemies' Friends at the moment. Quite appropriate; a similar style to FAB...But...Somehow...Not...Bad.

My opinion is as valid as any other.

In fact, my opinion is more valid than your opinion on rap as mine is borne out of experience whilst yours is borne out of ignorance.

i have listened to rap music. so how am i ignorant. i do not think it is music and do not appreciate it in any way. i wish it didnt exist.

besides the point, you say ingnorance, have you listened to the new album? as i said its different. or are you just going to comment with ignorance some more and ruin my thread. it wont be necessary for you to post again.

thanx for the post cyber, ill have a gander.

If you were not ignorant, you couldn't have made the post you did. ;)

It's either ignorance or an extreme case of stupidity.

I've got a promo of it sitting in a box about ten feet away. I wonder how you got your copy...

It's average at best. By-the-numbers pop-rock designed to sell copies to people who actually have to think about their haircuts...

Haha, excellent comparison. May have to pinch that one :D

as ive said i have listened to a lot of rap music as its hard to miss, so why oh son of god oh why am i being ignorant? i have listened, i have an opinion, do i have to like it? no.

you could just post your opinion straight away, i dont want the baggage of crap that comes out of your brain.

i have work to do, im not going to reply to your pap any more, admins feel free to delete this thread, it was a waste , how many posts does this guy need to get one opinion across and realise i have an opinion too.

and if you had listened to the new album you would realise that is a stupid comparison as they are clearly not trying to be your average rock band. take "golden" for example, how are they trying to be more of a rock band by writing a song like that?

Please point out the last time you saw Sage Francis, Little Brother, Gangstarr, Aesop rock and the likes in the charts or on any mainstream radio?

Real hip hop music is about as hard to miss as 5 pence coin in a forest.

What you've heard is commercialised rap, not hip hop.

IMO yes. in my opinion. Meaning you dont have to respond, at all.

rap, is in all hip hop, yea?

I DO NOT LIKE RAP

therefor, yes, you guest it, i do not like hip hop.

that was hard wasnt it, however much more a rapper tries to make propper sentences with half words, i will not like rap.

now please, accept my opinion, and move on. you will not change my opinion.

I never implied that you did/should like hip hop, I was just pointing out that decent hip hop is not in the mainstream and is by no means 'hard to miss'.

Also, I accepted your opinion the first time that you posted it, I just felt that I should point out the idiocy surrounding it.

true, maybe that was directed at the wrong person, *directs at penski* how can my opinion on rap be not valid, its an opinion, how can what i think not be valid? am i a robot?
