Fallout: New Vegas

When I heard it was announced I was expecting a 2011 release date
Very good news :D Can't wait for it :) I hope it is as polished as Fallout 3 :)

This is not an expansion.

Bethesda have said, Fallout: New Vegas, should not be looked at as a sequel to Fallout 3 but a completely new addition to Fallout universe.

Awesome, Can't wait! And I'm surprised the release date is 'so soon' was thinking it would be sometime next year :o

Better go get the expansions as I haven't played through them all yet!

Hmmm. Obsidian, Obsidian, if only your coding ability was above that of your love of the franchises. They are like a child that does its best at say, drawing a picture. But at the end of the day its still a picture by a child, not comparable with that of an artist.

Its a shame as apparently they are formed up of black isle dev's (planescape/icewind dale) who are obviously accomplished story tellers and know how to make a very good game. Perhaps they just can't handle 3d engines. Given its bethesda this time however rather than bioware, i wouldnt be suprised if they blew them out of the water with their own franchise.

Still struggling to get into Fallout 3.

I struggled until I was out into the big wide world and learned to move around quickly using the map. Using the VATS system for combat is also important... at first I thought it was a sort of console-ised cheat, then I realised it was fairly essential if I wanted to live.

Until then I was very disappointed. Afterwards I really started to enjoy it.

Yeah i never really got into Fallout 3 myself. I will have to try again as i imagine i will love it if i give it some time.

Nice to see Clap Traps from borderlands in that trailer!

The bugs seemed to be introduced in patches for me - even with the patches the only thing I noticed was a slight slowdown on VATS.

This is another game I'm looking forward to. Fallout 3 was perhaps the GoTY for me on release - the first time I played it I never got into it but then, when I got used to VATS, it was superb. The fact that you could go anywhere and do anything was brilliant and if there's one thing I'd like is more of the same.
