Looking great pighardia, i realy like the blue sky and whispy clouds. I tryed modding the game and i think what you done and mods you suggested is the best your gonna get out of New Vegas until boris turns his attention on NV and gives it some ENB love :)

Thanks. The clouds are basically vanilla. Tbh, I was messing about with these weather mods, having problems with them. Then I discovered this mod(Realistic Lighting) which does the same but doesn't add any new weather so I thought I would give it a go, and I realised that whilst I had always considered weather mods to be essential, vanilla isn't that bad at all, and that mod is easily enough.

I have tried some very nice looking ENBs, but they are just too buggy in my experience atm. Lots of problems with ground textures, night vision, hand transparency. Not worth the hassle atm when you can get similar results with Imaginator, Also, the Horizonclean DOF with Imaginator is very very nice.

Just realised why those screenshots look nowhere near as good as they do to me in game. Sweetfx doesn't show up on those screenshots!... So no AA, and many other effects.

In this Order-

Textures

Ewi's Big Texture pack- Comprehensive and very high quality
Poco Bueno
NMC's (washed out wasteland is good)
Vurt's Flora overhaul
Improved LOD noise texture
MG Neat Clutter
AmidianBorn stuff
Weapon Retexture Project
High Res Chems

Characters-
Fallout Character Overahul- Top quality NPC appearance improvement as well as loads of extra options for character creation. Can't emphasis how good this is!
There are also male and female body replacers if you like.
If you are seeing neckseams, try this- http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/56198/?

Lighting-
If you want improved weather as well as improved lighting, go for either Nevada Skies or Project Reality. NS is more stable imo, but still had it's problems for me. Project Reality is higher quality, but has some bugs and poor performance.

I simply use FNV Realistic Wasteland Lighting, which does not add weather, but changes the entire look of the game and is very good imo.

Then install:
Interior Lighting Overhaul - Really makes a difference.
Electro City- Adds lights around the Wasteland
Mojave Nights- High-res night sky
Imaginator- lets you control many aspects of the graphics

Then either add an ENB(which I haven't found a decent on tbh) or Sweetfx which I do use, and recommend...I find you can get the same results as an ENB by using Imaginator + Sweetfx.

You can also use the NV configurator, which lets you edit the INI easily and is a very handy tool.

All very easy to install through Nexus Mod Manager. The game looks really good with all these...not surprisingly, I am playing it atm;)

Am I correct in saying I need to pay a nominal fee to become a member of the nexus website to enable me to download the mods listed?

I'm getting the itch to jump back into this due to the current Fallout 4 mutterings.

I haven't really delved into the mod community, I know about the various graphics and gameplay enhancements but can anyone tell me if there is much in the way of decent, story led, modded content? New quests etc like the kind the TES games are always graced with?

I think my game game is borked :(. All of a sudden I can't fast travel, it says cannot fast travel from the location, no matter where I go. Plus my collar around my neck has started beeping and my head explodes, for no reason. I am just in an area near the brotherhood of steel bunker, that I have been to a few times before and didn't get beeping.

I gave up modding this and am back to vanilla now - it was just too much hard work trying to find mods that worked well together and didn't crash all the time!

RE: the fast travel, I found that a couple of quests wouldn't let me fast travel until they were completed

This is part of the storyline. You have to prove that you are an ally of the brotherhood of steel by completing a couple of quests. Then you can take it off

A question, is this a bug or not:

I've finished ''Kings' Gambit'' ''peacefully''. I've managed to convince the king with extra food and water, and got the scripted scene where Pacer betrays the king.

I've immediately killed Pacer there and then and fled the school of impersonation.

What happened there made all the kings hostile to me, even though I'm neutural in Freeside, and a member of the Kings ( through previous quests). Every time I'm in/near freeside the Kings attack me, my companions kill them, and I lose status up the point of shunned in Freeside.

Worse, I can't complete Nothin' But a Hound Dog as Rex keeps attacking me ( and then being slaughtered by Boone and ED-E) when I enter the school of impersonation.

Why are the kings hostile to me even though I made a deal with the king and that the voilence would stop and Pacer is gone ? Why did Rex attack me in the first place ( he is on the kings side isn't he?)

Hi all, sorry to drag the thread up (surprised we haven't had more recent posts given the news!) but I have a problem that one of you mind find interesting to fix!
Let me lay it out:

I have a AMD 7990 card, which is a crossfire card. I have been modding New Vegas recently and decided to try an ENB (ENB 263).
I was getting low fps with the ENB but it looked great.
I realised crossfire was scaling poorly/not at all and this was causing the low FPS.

After a bit of research I added the New Vegas executable to my Catalyst Control Center Application Profiles and gave New Vegas the Skyrim crossfire profile.
Starting the game the scaling was excellent and my fps was great.
The problem is the ENB is suddenly super blurry. I have narrowed the problem down to the Depth Of Field setting in the ENB -
For some reason the DOF setting is being made super blurry when I add NV to the application profiles in CCC and give it the Skyrim crossfire profile. Any ideas?
I can simply disable the DOF for the ENB but I want to have it! I tried disabling AA/Texture Filtering etc. in CCC.

I quickly tried using RadeonPro to force use of the Oblivion crossfire profile but it didn't seem to be working.

Any ideas?
