Fallout TV series being developed by Amazon

Watched the first episode and about the only thing I enjoyed was when the nukes went off......

The female lead is as hot as hell, but the actual acting from all of them is terrible

Not played the game but the series is growing on me. Not as good as the reviews say though

Yeah I agree. Not sure why reviews have gone a bit crazy on this. Usually they are super harsh on this stuff.

Its why I rarely listen to reviews. Especially professional reviews.

Only played Fallout 3 and NV, but enjoyed the show a lot.

True, some of the CGI is a bit iffy, but on the whole it was what i was expecting it to be.

As for the acting, the vault dwellers would have been very naive being living in a shelter follwing old fashioned rules and morals, the outsiders would have had no rules and have to do whatever to survive. I think they pretty much nailed it.

Wish there was more mutant creatures in it though, maybe in season 2.

I'll give it 8/10

Finished it last night, really enjoyable and pretty much what I wanted from it, will do 2nd watch when I have time so I can look out for all of the little details.

So the 2nd series is out next week yeah? Not like we're going to have to wait a couple of years, yeah? :/

Loved this from start to finish, best thing I've watched in many a month.
Cant fault too much with it at all and it absolutely nailed the Fallout humour, brutality and atmosphere for me...

9.5 / 10

I am a few eps in, absolutely love the tv series so far.

I like the female lead as well, I usually play as a female in RPG's and she is pleasant to look at :). If they are equal actors and acting wise I prefer pretty ladies over men at all times :).

Hardly seen anything woke so far? I think this is pretty true to Fallout 4, not to New Vegas or 3...
Not like Witcher which was ruined by the wokies, I think this is pretty representative to the game.

This actually surprised me, it's a good adaption. I was expecting a mary sue but that isn't the case at all, she gets her arse kicked a lot and grows as character.. Rare to see character development that makes sense in modern TV shows. The Ghoul for me was the standout character and the actor did a great job portraying the two parts.

The brotherhood dood was ok, could have been better.

Thought the the brotherhood chick with the mustache was a sign of things to come, thankfully it didn't feature that much.

The more I think about it the more I'm annoyed by the vagueness surrounding the NCR... like a fan is supposed to believe that many decades of building adobe buildings results in zero left behind from one city getting nuked?

I'd love to see what the fascination is with Bethesda and the Brotherhood like... they don't have to be involved in everything (I have a sneaking suspicion that they've made it purposefully into a dudebro faction... though it sort of already was I guess just more extreme) going by behaviour they're showing here but then again if they're all kids that survived Shady Sands then it could be a sick revenge thing which I could see as consistent.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. Way more than I thought I would. I like the games, but I'm not obsessed or a story nerd. I've finished Fallout 3, New Vegas and played mostly Fallout 4, but given a choice of watching more of that and playing any of the games, I think I'd take the TV series.

Finished it tonight, surpassed my expectations and thoroughly enjoyed it. As did the Mrs and she's never played a Fallout game in her life, well any game come to think of it.

Solid throughout. Redemption, today your name is spelled T O D D.

(Sort of, we still haven't forgotten about horse armour or that whole canvas bag fiasco.)

The OcUK branch of the Taliban were never going to like it tbh. They’ll all flock in once the Critical Drinker and other scum ‘review’ it.

You feeling alright?

Interesting take, most "Muslim/Right wing" people by your metrics actually seem to like the show.

I absolutely noticed the trans actor, but I didn't have any particular issue with the person. They did a decent job by comparison to the rest of the cast, and weren't in your face screaming about politics.

Just finished it. 10/10 for me. Absolutely smashed the Fallout world. Easily the best game to TV adaption I've ever seen. The only thing lacking was probably budget limitations with some set designs being a bit on the low side. Never thought I'd actually want to load up Fallout 4 but I'm seriously tempted to do just that with a tonne of mods. The acting was great throughout. Ella Purnell was actually able to mature throughout the the series without coming out of the Vault and being a complete girl boss like every movie with a female lead in the last 5 years :D

If this doesn't get a green light for Season 2 then Amazon have lost the plot. Best thing they have produced since the Expanse.

First episode in, managed to persuade the misses to watch too (but completely lost on her has she has no idea what Fallout is)

It's much.....weirder.....than I thought! But loving the little nods to the game, like heading into the armory, finding nothing but a little pistol on the floor.

Looking forward to the rest :)
