Not sure if this is the right place but it's cooling question.
A friend helped me set up some fan curves using fan controller (as my fans were going wild all the time and revving etc) and it fixed the problem but now I seen should really do them in the bios rather than a 3rd party app in windows but is there a way to transfer the information or is it going to be a case of manually doing it in the bios as that I have go stuck on before hense using fan controller but I read bios is much better and obviously windows is using less stuff on start up etc.

Manually do it in BIOS, but if you know the values then jot them down on paper and note what fan goes to where on the Mobo and what temp reading that fan is responding to ( usually CPU but not always )
You can also set up an alarm if a fan stops working, at least on some mobos you can.
I always set up alarms whenever possible.

You can not transfer as far as I know.

I think you’d have to set your fans up manually in BIOS.

Fan control is a brilliant bit of software though and is my preference now, it's so customisable.

I had an issue with a new case, a phanteks with 140mm fans ans at certain RPMs there was some resonance through the case at certain RPM's, so I basically made the fans ramp up (for example i cant remember the exact figures) immediately from 30% speed to 50% speed as I was getting annoying resonance between 35% speed and 45% speed.

It's far superior to doing it in the bios, IMO, I've always found BIOS fan control a bit clunky.

Ah yeah I thought that would be the case and sounds like I'd **** it up lol.

Oh ok I had difference of opinions so far which seems to be the case with tech some preferring one way over another don't use third party tools it's better in bios some then other way but I suppose if fan control is doing it's job not causing issues why change lol
