TBH the only annoying thing is people who call people fanboys just because they prefer some thing to another or dont like what they like. There is no need to react how some people do, see the FF13 or DMC4 going MP threads on other websites for a good laugh at fanboys.
As for 1 game vs the other only matters to those that dont/wont/cant have the system that the other game is on, if there is a game on the PS3 that you cant play because you dont have one then let them enjoy it and vica versa.
I do think media outlets and PR from game companies do not help the situation, going back to Forza for a moment, turn 10 did some serious trolling. Things such as this

and also the defintive speech they made. Dont make it sit to well with Fans of a certain other game, like i said this gen it seem like the game devs/PR head of companies seem to stoke the fan boy flames more than ever as they know it generates hits to websites.

It wasnt a serious statment lol, as for me "attacking" T10, i was just using them as an example of how the PR and media help to fan the fanboy flames. I could have used many others its just that this one come to mind first. Forza 3 was in my top 5 games of last year, really enjoyed it, best driving game out this gen so far i would think not perfect and nor will GT5 be.

No, but as a liverpool supporter i would have no problems watching a United, Everton, City etc etc game on the TV because its entertainment!
Same with consoles, i might primarily play the 360, because it has more titles which i prefer, but it wont stop me getting GT5 on the PS3 when its released.
