Fanboyism

Pointless it exists in every forum. Doesn't matter if it's cars, F1, Football, Graphics cards or TVs there will always been comparison arguments. Its only the blinkered ones that get on my bits, the ones you know will support X no matter what.

Anyway Trey4Life

Fanboyism tends to get confused with opinion and a fan.

I have all 3 consoles, people would probably say i am a fanboy, but i don't think i am, but i do have a preference to the PS3. That doesn't make me a fanboy IMO, but a fan.

I wouldn't class you as a fanboy. I haven't seen any comments from you that would make me think so. The poster above you however...

If you have all 3 consoles you are guaranteed to prefer one imo. Its nearly impossible to not have a preference over two certain things. Fanboyism is the line between expressing such preferences in a retarded manor.

I'd go as far as to say that threads (titles) that are deliberately worded in such a way to provoke or antagonise either "camp" should be outlawed too. Like, for example, "What can Sony possibly do to top Microsoft now?", etc

Closet fanboys are more annoying than the blatently obvious ones.

It is hardly unlikely to not have a preference over one thing and not the other, as with most things in life. If you have all 3 consoles you are guaranteed to prefer one imo.

That's what I mean. I have had all 3 also but remain with just the PS3 as it had the most games I was interested in although with Sky on 360, I may purchase one again.

It's the blatant fanboy trolling that annoys me. As has been said, not one comment was made during the MS conference... a vast difference when the Sony conference was underway however...

eh? I was impressed with the 360 conference. The thread was to talk about the things Sony could do to out do Microsoft. How is that being a blatant fanboy?
