Fancy dress, am i being harsh!

No. Maybe jokingly put over but I've known plenty of wives who are bored in relationships because they are not made to feel special any more. All it takes is some flash git with a bit of excitement and it does turn heads. The secret is not to let the relationship go stale.

So the OP only has to worry if he's not been treating her well enough, perhaps he is so anti her doing this because he's been slack of late...

Oh of course it is. The intention of both is to make people look at you and approach you.

In either one, the girl still has the choice of turning down any advances. It's the intention however that is disrespectful.

What's the intention of you buying a new shirt, or dressing up for a night out then? Same thing, you flirt ;)

Women are human you know, and they also like to look good. For themselves, for their boyfriends, or just for the sake of it. Dressing up in fancy dress is not a signalled intention to cheat on you, if you think it is then you really do need help.

No, you're missing the crucial point here - it's not "any fancy dress" or dressing smartly... it's dressing in hotpants, or fishnets, or in ridiculously skimpy clothing when it isn't necessary (i.e. down the highstreet in winter). If they are in a relationship, they have no reason to dress like such.

Dressing as a zombie or a ghost at Halloween is totally unrelated to dressing like a tart.

What a dumb comment about buying a new shirt FYI.

He doesn't want help, he wants RESPECT!

So the fact they are going to a BURLESQUE THEMED PARTY means it's fine?

Put it like this, I know that if my missus goes out that she wouldn't even entertain the fact of another man coming near her. She would talk and be polite but anything else she would put him right in his place. Reason I know this is because we've been married for 12 years, I buy her everything she wants, cars, holiday, bung her a few hundred every now and then just to go shopping to spend on what ever she wants, book surprise weekends away, take her to shows, out for meals, iphone, and what really floats her boat bags! Loius Vuitton, Cloe, Gucci etc....

If she wants to go off she knows she'll loose the lot. And if you think not everyone has the money to do this, think again, I made £457 in 1 month selling crap at the car boot.

That's why I know she won't go off.

So you've purchased your wife? Classy.

Yes, in fairness I wasn't directly discussing the OP's problem. However from the sounds of it, it's just them dressing in a burlesque theme, so they're still going out on the town, just using that as an excuse to dress in that way.

And they say you can not buy love! :D

So if "insert her favourite actor here" came along and offered her all that plus much more she would be like "No Thanks" then?

Yeah sure... ;)

Ok, good.

See, now you sound like your renting her.

No it wouldn't but the chances of that happening are very low, but your right it could happen. The same way that everyone in this forum could have it happen. Its just how you deal with it if it does.
