Fancy testing some Alpenföhn fans? Post in this thread!

Ok guys. It seems we've had a lot of interest in the thread which is great. Thanks! I've chosen a selection of members to take some of the fans. Those who haven't been chosen, fear not - we will be also doing this with a series of CPU/VGA coolers that were seen at CeBIT recently. So this is by no means a one off!

:(

And I won't be able to test the CPU/VGA coolers as I am going watercooling in a couple of weeks.

Ah well...

You can but not yet :) This will come later on down the line, another thread. In fact its likely that forum members will get the chance to test the full suite of coolers that are coming very soon: http://www.vortez.net/articles_page...splay_3_new_cpu_coolers_and_vga_cooler,1.html K2, Himalaya, Peter, etc

Blimey, does that GPU cooler really need 4 slots? o_O

Thankfully there's only a pci x1 and another PCI-E x16 slot below my 5770 so there's enough room, fingers crossed for that, or a super powerful CPU heatsink to replace my IFX-14. Its an awesome cooler, but covers half my ram slots!
And I had to cable tie the fan to it, since I couldn't get it fitting using their supplied mounts :D

Grats to the winners, though! Enjoy the fans! And thanks to mish for doing this ^^

Just watched that video in the link you posted mish... that K2 is HUUUUUGE!!!

The GPU cooler called "Peter" still makes me laugh, suprised the CPU coolers aren't called Dave and John lol

nice one guys for running the competition even if I haven't won, again! :)

Hopefully I will earn the right to test on the CPU coolers!
