decided for some reason Odegaard was a worthy captain choice. Still done alright so far with 55 points and all of my players have another game. Although Christensen and Mount not playing at all annoyed!
Bit of a fail, brought in Jacob Ramsey ahead of his DGW then it was announced late in the week that he's injured, it's like a triple whammy really:
-Wasted transfer that could've been used on someone else
-Potentially means I'll need to use ANOTHER transfer to ship him out next week if he's not fit for next gameweek
-Am on bench boost this week, so there's no benefit in him being subbed out for another player, all 15 players points are counted.
Would have been way better off not having done the transfer at all, potentially more points and transfers available.
Not helped either by Matip being dropped, Maddison didn't play either but I kind of expected he'd be rested for Europe. Just really annoying on bench boost having players not playing because effectively you don't have any substitutes.

Thinking of signing up for FPL for the first time in years. When does the game normally open in relation to the start of the season?
It'll be on early as the season is starting earlier too, the FPL Twitter usually starts teasing player prices 2-3 weeks before launch and some have suggested it'll be life first week in July but reckon it'll be a bit later than that. I'll be sure to renew it ass soon as I can.
It's been supposed there will be 2FA as well as maybe a change in one of the chips, maybe Bench Boost. I thought about 'Billionaire owner' where you can pick any players you like with a limitless budget but no Captain available that week.

Ah yeah, the chips are new to me - it's been that long since I last played! I'll look into them while we wait for it to open.
Current chips are Triple Captain, your Captain makes triple points instead of Double, Bench Boost where your bench players count towards your overall score as well and 'free Hit' where you can change your players for the next game week without penalty but sticking to your budget and your team reverts back after that.
There are also two 'Wildcards', one before the Winter break and one after where you gain unlimited transfers rather than only 1 or 2 and then any after that taking a -4 point hit.

Still a week or two to go it seems.
The Site is currently down for maintenance so some have suggested the game will launch sometime next week. I will renew the league as soon as I can.
