Fantasy Time: What do you want to see in 2020?

It doesnt actually. The LG OLED screen size is still too big at 48" for most and the mini LED screens are all £3500+ and wont be out until second half of 2020 or even later if they get delayed again as the panel was originally meant to be out now.

With the smallest OLED sized LG 48" panel they could make a 38" 1440p OLED 144Hz panel for about £700. That would fly off the shelves. or a 3840 x 1600 45" OLED ultrawide screen for around a £1000.

Mini LED with FALD are clearly going to be way too expensive for most normal people for years.

I thought the 60hz 1152 zone 4k 32" none gaming professional screen was bad enough at £3k but I could see why a professional would spend that money. But expecting gamers to drop £3500+? No way.

Why would they make a 38 inch OLED pannel and sell it for £700 or a 45'' ultrawide for £1000 when people are happy to pay £1000+ for some crap edge lit LCD panels?

If LCD do decide to enter the monitor market, they'll likely price them a lot higher if its OLED and rightfully so given the PC Master Race have been prepared to cough up big bucks for LCDs.

5 years ago everybody was waiting for 144+Hz IPS/VA 27" monitors. The people spoke loud and industry listened, albeit with a lag for design and manufacture.
Now that these are here, I am disappointed. Need to get the pixel response time to follow rising refresh rates. Most large "gaming" monitors are a blurry mess.
It looks like there is no alternative to OLED, and that is still years away from mainstram.

But currently industry seem to have forgot they did a half-assed job on gaming monitors and focus instead on HDR gimmicks.

What I would like is a fast 32-34" 1440p 144Hz+ panel with properly implemented strobing backlight. With average g2g below 4ms.

1440/2160 Ultrawide - 38inch+ - 144hz+ - hdr1000 - Not VA/TN - <£2000, Ideally <£1000 but gotta be at least a LITTLE realistic :P
