Very respectful and good decisions made here.

He will be in my thoughts on Thursday.

A very good idea.

Is anyone from OcUK forums going to Darren's funeral? I can't as I will be working - BUT as there was no power today and there is the remote possibility it still isn't on on Thursday (the sub station literally exploded  ) then I may be able to go. It would be nice to have some kind of representation there.

Damn. They've hired an enormous generator. Which means I'll be at work after all :(

I do hope a representative of the forums can make it for us though.

My thoughts will be with, I shall say a prayer for Darren at the funeral I have to also attend today.

I hope you got the f50 sorted out Steve :)
No did not get the f50 but got the f40 only 1 step down

Thank you all again

Unfortunately I never had the chance to get to know Darren during his time here, and only became aware of his illness when i happen to come across his cancer thread a few weeks back.

It is indeed a sad time when someone so young is taken away. Life seems so cruel at times. :(

The way that young man handled everything was nothing short of amazing. He was so positive & cheerful, never downbeat.

If my young son grows up to be half the man Darren is then i've achived great things. You must be the proudest parents in the world. :)

Thoughts to all his family & friends on this sad day.

RIP Darren.

Scott.

This is a really strange day for me as I am feeling the loss of someone that I never knew:( I never thought in a million years that I could be effected in this way, and yet here I am feeling empty and sad. I had even thought of perhaps attending Darren's funeral to say goodbye and to meet those that love and care for him so much. I was thinking that I could have brought down my full highland pipers outfit and played a lament for Darren (Flowers of the forest was the tune I had in mind) but my emotions are all over the place at the moment:(
My heart goes out to all of his friends and family on this very sad day. I can only hope that they find the strength and the courage to see them through the days ahead and that they know how much his passing has touched us all.
It takes a very special person to have such an impact on so many lives.

Rest in peace Darren
:(
