How about a mod who's actually active on this forum and takes part in the discussions? I'm sure we used to have a mod like that in here.

There aren't really any active mods in here and I think that's part of the problem, they only seem to appear when posts like this get made then trundle off back to GD.

As for RTM'ing threads, I know myself and others have RTM'd threads where there is blatant rule breaking and it takes hours for something to happen, if at all.

Not sure if its possible but is there a feature where users can vote on a reply being deleted. Say if 15 people click on [delete this response] it will automatically get deleted. Self Moderation is the future.

I actually quite enjoyed the more relaxed attitude.

It was nice to be able to mention high street stores again. Its prety annyoing that ocuk sell a couple of 360 bundles. They are obviously in the game for selling a couple at a high price than 10 at a low.

I dont think the forums reached any where near a standard that was bad, we have enough people here who are sensible for almost self moderation. I think the real problem when lookng for more mods for this forum is that everyone regular is opinionated. If we gave don ship to Jumpurs sony would be king, watch tower we would have to conceed the GC was nintendos finest hour, to kreee that black and white sigs are cooler than technicolour, to dirtydog that fps and good moderation are not mutually exclusive. Ok so im joking about those reasons but I do think it would slant the forum somewhat. We need a dedicated outsider, which is almost impossible to find.

I would say that in the spirit of keeping the forum bickering-free, it isn't seemly to publicly gloat when someone is suspended though

I don't think anyone has. A couple of people have been so backward and insulting to users here over a period of time which causes frustration - I'd imagine people might want to cheer a bit, especially as it shows this thread has achieved something positive, and that the mod has made a good decision.

Personally I think it's a good result for the console forum and I hope some of the recent idiocy that's evolved in the Forza threads can be avoided now.

Okay but other people have been making regular insulting posts, calling people various swear words or muppet etc. and have yet to be suspended, which means they will feel they've been given the green light for their behaviour to continue.

Maybe I feel more strongly about this because I was provoked by the same individual who hasn't ever been suspended, which led to me being suspended for 7 days for (foolishly) rising to the bait. Suspending me was fine, but the person ultimately responsible got off scott free then - and continues to.

The term 'muppet' is hardly a crime dd. I've seen some of the stuff sent to Latte by Mr Men before he edited it, I can assure you it was not fit to read on this forum.

I agree. Whilst Mr Men did insult a few people, the people who insulted him back should be suspended by the same rules, surely? Most of the people complaining about him gave as good as they got back tbh.

By the same token, I and others read a lot of Lattes posts before he editted them to be more polite.

p.s. now this forum is moderated again does that mean I can't post things like "Save the Cheerleader, Save the World", randomly, anymore?
