p.s. now this forum is moderated again does that mean I can't post things like "Save the Cheerleader, Save the World", randomly, anymore?

I would say that in the spirit of keeping the forum bickering-free, it isn't seemly to publicly gloat when someone is suspended though :)

Tell that to VIRII ;)

Oh and I wasn't gloating, I said 'good stuff' as in 'good stuff that the moderators are doing their jobs.' ;)

The term 'muppet' is hardly a crime dd. I've seen some of the stuff sent to Latte by Mr Men before he edited it, I can assure you it was not fit to read on this forum.
I'm not saying Mr Men shouldn't have been suspended, not at all. Just as I deserved to be suspended.

Mr Latte has actually gone too far on lots of occasions with me and with others, and FWIW calling someone a muppet (and it not being in jest) is not allowed under the rules. Nor is calling someone a word beginning with 'p' which rhymes with trick.

lol. Can't disagree with that.

Well a lot of things are said in anger, then quickly edited I'd imagine. I'm only going on what I saw recently.

I agree with this and I've seen too much of it lately and I'll admit I have been guilty of it.

Just to clarify Mr Men was suspended because he posted a direct link to a competitor. This is an automatic suspension, no exclusions.

School ground name calling is dealt with at our discretion.

Tbh i think everyone should stop jumping to conclusions, NathanE said last night he had done nothing wrong. Though today he posted a link to a competitor, shortly after, he was sus'ed. Maybe that is why he got suspended? But i wouldn't be so quick to say it was his attitude got him suspended. Maybe it was both his attitude and posting a competitor.

Edit, beaten too it by the man himself :o

I'm glad Mr Men wasn't suspended for what many people deemed upsetting people, whilst he did dish it out he got just as much back and he wasn't always the person starting such things. I think some people need to get off his back.

In regards to Dirtydog, I called McDaniel a "Mahpeht" is that what you were talking about?
If so it's only because he started a new thread after forgetting his last one, but mainly it's because he is.

Out of interest, are we unable to actually say muppet and ***** or something?

I mean, I know directing them at someone makes it a personal insult, but the words themself aren't actually banned are they? Why do people dodge them in this thread like they're the true names of God?

i would think Muppet is an ok word to say and i guess ***** to some extent, though i would say using it as a personal insult is in turn breaking the Rules of the forum.

Nokkon i don't think they where talking about you, i pressume it was aimed towards Mr Men and Mr Latte as the two of them tend to end a statement to each other/other people with ...., muppet.

But that's the point, he didn't get it back half as bad half the time. For example he insulted me three times in one thread when i had asked him twice not to do so. I had a legitimate argument and he just kept on rolling out the crap and personal insults.

As far as P**** goes, it's a swear word, swear words are not allowed on the forums. Muppet is ok i would think.

No :) And I did say it is only a problem if someone says it not in jest.

Of course muppet is okay as a word, it's just the context which could be a problem.

Perhaps when deciding if a word is okay, you should consider whether you would talk to Spie or one of the mods in that way. Obviously you wouldn't if you valued your account. So it shouldn't be acceptable to call a fellow member names like that either. Unless it is in jest. There's been a lot of name calling around here recently which has most definitely not been in jest...

He did it to me 3 times in 1 thread a couple of days ago, but a lot of other people give him a lot of crap too.
