Fox there is always the back button

. Anyone know if recalls notices get passed down through ownership? I have not recieved anything from ford but purchased mine used through a dealers network.

They do I believe. Ford will have it listed under their monthly technical schedule. If your car features in the affected list they will do it no questions asked.

People talk about Focus being a bad buy.... I managed to haggle my dealer down from the list price of 16k to 12k, and 1 year on my car is on autotrader for 10.5k. I assume it would be possible to haggle down to 10k, but losing 2k on a brand new car in the first year really isn't bad at all! AFAIK the 'depreciation index' is calculated from the list price, and given that only a blind llama with 0 exposure to any institutions or education would pay list price for a ford....

id call the "new" focus a mk2.5, its a mk2 with a dif front end...

its just like the fiesta, there the mk6 and a mk6 facelift, that i would call a mk6.5 but everyone else seems to call mk7...

Thats right, its just a facelift. When I see an increase in Mk, i expect a lot more than changing headlamps, bumpers, few more curves and interior. Its misleading calling it a Mk3

I think the Focus is a great buy, its reliable, dependable, comes with snazzy features (i.e. bluetooth) and is very practical. Nowt wrong with buying one new if you want to spec it how you want and get a good discount.

But then I'm biased....
