I have tried this on 2 res before and after the hotfix driver, previous driver was 8.10. I did 2 loops and I note the first loop is significantly worse than the second, scores below are for the second loop. DX10

Settings as per the OP unless noted

8.10
1680x1050 45.87
1920x1200 4xAA 29.32

8.10 Hotfix
1680x1050 48.17
1920x1200 4xAA 34.38

Final result for the OP:
Total Frames: 1110, Total Time: 23.04s
Average Framerate: 48.17
Max. Framerate: 57.57 (Frame:104, 2.09s)
Min. Framerate: 38.33 (Frame:1084, 22.43s)
 
with latest drivers, 180.43 (jonnylaris please change score):

Edit1: Just noticed GPUZ is wrong as it was not in 3dmode at the time of screen shot !
Real clocks were 800/990

Edit2: Just noticed CPUZ was wrong also cos it went to low power mode, normally @ 3.6ghz.

I think I have everything correct now, could you update the charts?

i get the same, first half of the first run is sub 20fps like its in slow motion and then just speeds up half way though, the second run however is fine.

what happens if you alt-tab out then back in again just after the first loop has loaded? is it normal fps from the start?

also i get no stuttering what so ever in the dx10 demo ranch test but i do in all the other dx10 tests, what is so different to the demo test and the other tests/game?

you need to run the ranch demo and not the small/medium/large ranch

I just upgraded my driver to the latest beta, and my DX10 scores better than my DX9 score now, I cant see any differences btw, but I'll switch over to that now and continue playing.
