Far Cry 2

Anyone getting this on friday? There isn't much talk about it on these boards. It has been getting excellent scores from various places.

Nah, i won't be... yet. I've seen numerous videos showcasing awful AI, one of my favorites is in the PC section where a wildebeest kills itself by running head-first into an unmanned parked jeep for no apparent reason. It looks like it has loads of potential, but these days i only preorder games if they're looking absolutely mind blowing, i just don't trust reviews anymore after farces such as the aforementioned GTAIV and spore (imo those games suck, but i'm just one guy, if you like em then great! ). I'll see what other people think before i splash out my relatively limited cash on this one.

Been looking forward to this all year but I don't think the hardware in the 360 is going to be able to push the graphics out that you would get on Crysis on the PC or even FarCry on the PC

I'll probably pick it up once it is in the local exchange shop, as I have about £60 credit to spend there. Should have done the same for Fable 2 really.

For me it looks to be a bit too big for what I can fit in right now... just want gap fillers before LBP so will probably stick with finishing BioShock and if time permits DeadSpace.

Bought it this morning, trading it in this afternoon...

Fails on a number of points. The graphics are ok, but the whole thing seems to look 'hazy' or lacking definition, almost as if the contrast has been turned right down. Tried messing with my TV settings but it's screwing with my eyes big time. Secondly the controls are so sloppy and unresponsive, especially looking around, it feels like 'mouse lag' all over again. Also, you shoot someone and he takes loads of bullets, wobbles around, takes some more then dies.

I can't believe that this has scored 8.5/9.5 out of 10, shocking imo.

i dont have high expectations it looks pretty boring, hopefully ill be wrong but then again i dont because ive got enough games to buy xD
