Far Cry 3 Thread

Too over ambitious with the scale of the game for me,as with most sandbox games i find.
Scale them down, concentrate on more interesting missions/ content, and i think you would have better games of this type

Decent game, but the novelty soon wears off I feel. Saying that, played a good few hours now - just not bothered much with the main mission(s) yet.

He has the tatau, therefore he is the man.

The story for the co-op is funny. Basically 4 people caught up on the ship when the captain tries to sell them to pirates. 2 of them have a reason to be well trained with guns, 1 to be adept at them and 1 to not really be trained at all. Taking on armies of pirates in some of the most illogical fights ever.

How boring would the game be if he was a typical american though? He would have just died.

I'm pretty sure all animals are on the map from go, you don't 'unlock' them I don't think.

Right after the first mission I was hunting bears, buffalo and dingoes, even had a croc attack at one point

Yeh i was diving in a cave exploring and got sneak attacked by a croc, didnt even know there were crocs in the game till then

Loving this game, I do smile when people slate it but I bet they loved Crysis.

This is Crysis just without the nanosuit.

True, but it's not till once you had activated the radio tower, you see the locations on that sector of map!

I know, when one first attacked me my speakers were up really loud as the game seemed too quiet. Que as im walking out a river a massive roar/snap sound as a croc grabs my leg. Jesus christ I **** myself

I was swimming the other day and came across two Turtles and two huge Manta Rays !!

Almost got the 1000 achievement points for this game, just the co-op stuff and a couple of single player ones to do.
I have collected 118 relics then realised there is no achievement for getting them all !!

But some children and hundreds of grown men are completely different? At the beginning he seemed to be a coward then as soon as he meets the black guy (Already forgot his name) He suddenly becomes an amazing killer. But i suppose it's the way of the tattoo

Wasn't Crysis more linear than this? I can't remember being able to travel around and do what I like.

If you liked doing it, why does it matter that there is know "achievement"?

Isn't collecting them all an achievement?

You must've wandered off to another region then. Cos I have no bears, buffalo or dingoes on my map. Killed a couple of bears as part of a quest but I don't think I've seen them otherwise.

Yeah I was on the North island still so not too far... Bears aren't on my map, but just because they aren't there doesn't mean they don't spawn!
