Yup finding the same as well, bloody annoying!

Have turned sub-titles on now.

+1

At the start I just went around looting every chest, but now I don't bother at all unless I am near by some.

it is annoying as is looting peeople

but at least more realistic than some games

ie 19 dollars on someone is realistic

finding 500 is't so much like in most games

I personally don't mind looting the people too much and agree that it is better just getting like $19 rather than 200+, as said there should be fewer chests with that sort of money instead. I just hate watching the same animation over and over again, there is a skill upgrade where when you perform a takedown you will also loot them at the same time, shame most of my kills are by the bow though :p :D

BTW I thought we could have throwing knives in this game, I played the game with that guy in the village but I can't see an option to buy any knives, any ideas?

Prices in Russia are due to no VAT and the fact things in Russia aren't a rip off among other things. Nothing to do with piracy.

Same reason this is ridiculously expensive in Australia, it' like 80 AU$, poor dingo's.

You get throwing knives from a skill after a takedown, that allows you to throw your victims knife.

I'm getting sick of looting too because of all the damn $4 value ripped up teddy bears etc. that I'm finding, and when it comes to skinning a dangerous animal (shark! :() my inventory is full, eurgh.

There is a knife throw takedown in the skills list.

I got that skill, but I thought we could buy knives from the store and use them separately :(

Not sure why they didn't implement it that way

Also finding the same with the loot sack, I just drop things that are worth less than $10, think I have the 3rd biggest loot sack, one more to go iirc.

The overall game is pretty fun imho. BUT it does still stink of console. The menu system is NOT pc friendly, especially if you are use to MMOs where everything is binded to a specific key. The whole simplicity of the game(press space to climb, not over there on an equal ledge but only here on this ledge), the takedown system, while somewhat cool, is limited by the fact that it has to work on a controller as well and the list goes on. So to sum up what I think are good and bad things so fare (im pretty fare into to the campaign).

What I think is bad:
1) A bit too simplistic at times.
2) Useless loot from chests.
3) Feels a bit to console restricted when it comes to exploration. Could learn from a game like guild wars 2. Im sick of seeing press space here, and the obvious clue of rope on the ledge or vines.
4) While most of the main characters (like Vaas, Citra, Jason and so on) are pretty interesting, everyone else is too damn dull, even your own friends that you save along the way, its like the island that changes you have no effect on them what so ever, except they cry a lot.
5) Quicktime event, I HATE THEM!
6) The currency system is useless most of the times. Unlock a tower and get whatever weapon that is tied to it for free forever.
7) While characters like Vaas or the good Doctor clearly shows the "insanity" the developers have praised so much, the rest does not. Just goons with guns
8) CO OP is a bit to restricted in the ways you can access areas.
What I think is good:
1) The game is beautiful and the feel of the environment is awwsome due to it.
2) Due to number 1, hunting with a weapon for skins and whatnot, especially with a recurve bow is a super duper experience.
3) Overall good graphical options to choose and tweak in the PC port.
4) Overall good story and good presentation of it.
5) While CO OP feels a bit restricted at times(where you can go) its still very fun and at times pretty darn difficult to complete(yaaa :) )
6) I like that the unlocks you get in MP carries over to CO OP and back.
7) While I haven't used it yet I like that there is a map editor for custom maps.
What I would like improved or added:
1) Pirates would try at times to reclaim their lost camps.
2) More true jump puzzles with a reward at the end perhaps. (no obvious clues like the rope on the ledge for where you can climb)
3) That the loot system in general would be vastly improved and have more meaning to it. The the F. wants to buy a shredded teddybear?
4) That loot chest were fewer but had more meaningful stuff in it like more cash and/or upgrade parts for weapons and/or recipes.
5) That the quickstores in the outposts would be removed. Makes no sense that my closet suddenly starts to buy my stuff. Instead traveling merchant or something along those lines makes more sense.
6) Better optimization for PC, ive been getting weird frame drops, when nothing happens, no matter the driver im on. 7950, 3,8ghz i7.

I think that's the major points I would like to present. Please remember this is just my opinion about the game so fare and nowhere near a FACT list.

Not sure if it's already been mentioned (too many pages to read), but anyone else noticed there's only 2 character models (faces) for the Rakyat when you're out and about?

Either some woman had a pretty horrific birth experience, or Ubi just didn't make more models. Seems strange they wouldn't chuck in a few more to mix it up.

The savesystem really is retarded!

Got a mission to go to Badtown, I have never been there before. I was on my way, but saved and quit still quite a way away from there....I just loaded up the game, and I have spawned there:confused: ...ridiculous!

Argh I keep struggling to decide whether or not I should buy this (or AC3) and I keep seeing reviews on here at complete different ends of the scale.

Failed to login the first time for me, but working now

Edit, now its asking for my CD key

Same, even though I activated it thismorning. Sigh.

Working all day today, though got a few hours off between now and 6ish. Was planning to play this!

Btw, bought it last night from Cdiski for £13, downloaded it straight away. Absolute bargain, cant believe it was so cheap!
