Be it from me to bash the PC as old tech but when you see this video of the xbox 360 version of far cry it does make me feel very happy that i dont need a top spec pc to play this game.
I agree tbh, but imo farcry was one of the best looking games on the pc and still is, not many on pc show its graphics up as out dated i loved the game.
"We really worked on the water to make it as realistic as we could. The game is better in terms of detail even than the PC, I think. On the water, we have an oceanographic algorithm for waves; we think it's the most realistic it can be right now."
"We changed the engine to use the three cores, and we use them around 90 per cent of the time, which is how we are able to reach the 60 frames per second.
in a way its silly cos its old but as some 1 said far cry does look stunning on the pc the levels are so nice! And when u can get a console to improve upon on its not a bad thing is it
I thought that too actually - maybe they're just not very good photos. They do look less sharp than the PC version. They don't look that good to me personally - still more like a cartoon than real. Bearing in mind the first-gen Xbox's version of Far Cry compares very well with the PC version, the next-gen version should be better by an order of magnitude. Those two screens don't show that it is.
FarCry PC is more blueish and looks more like paradise with some palm trees here and there. FarCry Instincts Predator X360 is more greenish and looks and feels like a HUGE tropical jungle, the details are amazing.
Does look stunning but the PC could also handle this now and would not be surprised to see another update @ some time for the PC to have these waves as SM3+HDR+X64 was a patch update.
I hope they put some effort into improving the gameplay as well; the Far Cry series has always been about graphics first with decent gameplay second IMO.
