a lot of people getting their knickers in a twist over a politician receiving death threats it seems, like it's something new and shocking in the world. But because it's our mate Nige it's a lot worse!
Not that I'm advocating that sort of behaviour in anyway, it is completely unacceptable and the authorities should be doing what they can to check the validity of any statements made over the various social media platforms.

The left keeping it classy with their usual brand of insults and condescension I see. Hard to see how that didn't win the referendum

the whole reason leave won was because it broke the usual left / right thing

But has directly handed power to the more right wing element of the conservative party as a by product which people didn't seem to take into account when making their choice even with Gove appearing daily on TV. Although I don't think anyone predicted the total farce that has engulfed the labour party as a result of the vote which has made the balance of our national politics even more interesting!

To be fair, Farage was hated long before the Brexit referendum. You'd have thought he would be fairly thick skinned to death threats by now. I remember when he visited Edinburgh and had to shelter for safety inside a pub :D He deserves pity that's for sure. Wasn't he the same moron who said leave won the referendum "without a single shot fired?" Frightening someone could be so bloody stupid.

Id point out that someone from the right actually murdered a politician, just a few weeks ago, but would that be in bad taste?

He had recurrent mental health issues that had plagued him for years. Blaming her death on the far right is the same as blaming computer games for the multiple high school shootings in the US.

Well my comment makes total sense, sitting up there on its own, talking about cheese... :p

So... I can't see this thread lasting much longer at this rate... Which might be for the best.

I think that paints him in an even worse light to be honest. But at least with him gone, UKIP stand a better chance of falling apart.

It does not have to fall apart, what it needs is a strong leader that can unite them and give the party a new goal. We need more major political parties in this country and we especially need parties with people from less affluent backgrounds. Like what Labour used to be.

For too long the Lib/lab/con trio have been too much of the same in different clothing.

Agreed we do. There is no party of Labour at the present. Even with Corbyn showing resilience he needs backbenchers who know which side of the house they ought to sit

Hang on when did UKIP become the party of the working class? All they have done is stir up anti immigration sentiment and say they are to blame for all your problems UKIP's ever changing policy's beyond leaving the EU really don't offer help to the working class!

They only have one policy though and now that's gone?

I never said it was, try reading what i put again. First statement was that we need ukip with a strong leader and new goal, as we need more major political parties. Second was stating that we need more political parties with people from less affluent backgrounds.

Can people not read for some reason when Ukip is mentioned? i said that they need a new strong leader with a new goal.

Like Farage you mean? Went to the same school as Cameron and is a millionaire and the party is/was funded by a multi millionaire?

Since labour became anti-labour.

People turned to them because the parliamentarians held them in total contempt and people are waking up to what has been happening.

The immigration problem has been there for some time. Its not going away either. Many seem to forget that working class or as I call them the working poor are still subject in many (possibly most cases) to the effects of the recession. As an example my total wage rise from 2010-2016 has been 4%. Its minus figures when inflation comes into it. These 2.2% and 3.1% wage rises o'er quarter is driven by the super and hyper rich. What was it directors salaries increased by over 30years? 180x? Vs a standard worker who by comparison might be lucky to have doubled or tripled?
