Thank you Nigel Farage for making my country better. See you in the pub :)

He actually did pretty much nothing - no place on the official campaign, no meaningful place in office. Just a load of pointless hot air appealing to those who think a bunch of words and a nice pint trumps fact.

I guess he did waste a tone of our money not bothering to vote in the EU, contributing to make it less democratic :D

He's ranked 745th out of 746 for attendance which is only 40%. Imagine if you could only turn up to work 40% of the time and still get paid, never mind have any influences.

And yet he has gained thousands of followers on the back of his claims that Europe is a beast that we have no say in etc etc when part of the problem is that our MEP's don't turn up to give us a say. I don't know if he's just really clever or people are just really stupid.

Yes. Utterly useless... But achieved the impossible. Without him and his impetus we would not be having any of the 30+ threads we have seen.

At least he wasn't the worst.

He and UKIP as a whole have an appalling attendance and voting record they could have worked with Europe to represent the electorate but instead have chosen to take the money and laze about. Defending his attendance record is frankly odd, if my MP had a similar attendance record I would be writing to them to let them know how disappointed I was!

So who is your MEP?

How does voting go again in the EU parliament?

We technically according to remainers anyway should never have even joined in 73!

Only someone with a spanner loose would think the EU is democratic

Is he about to be adopted by the Cons and get that cabinet place?

He only resigned in the last couple of hours, just like the referendum result was only known a few days ago. Patience and acceptance of defeat are virtues sadly lacking in these bearded cloisters ;)

"We've not won, we've not won, we want to go again. AGAIN.... NOW!!"

A bit of National Service is hopefully on the horizon, would do a power of good ;)

Why did the EU not kick him out then? Does it not show how it's a job for life with no real requirement to actually do anything useful? A proof that it squanders money even when the waste is apparent to a casual internet surfer?

Profligate waste is endemic throughout the EU, just like the NHS. Both are dinosaurs in their death throws.

Strong leaders have plans, and see through their plans to the end.

Farage and Johnson used this for their political gain, then quits leaving the country in a mess. It shows that

1 – They never had a plan to begin with
2 – Seeing they are out of depth to deal with the Brexist, the only thing they could do is the coward act by quitting so they don't have the responsibility to carry it through, not that they know how in the first place

That is before we get into his political allegiance.

So who is your MEP?

The only one worse was an MEP with serious Health issues, similar holds true for the parties attendance in general.

The MEP's from my area are irrelevant but obviously all attend better than Nige even the UKIP wasters

They can't. he is elected. He could have not turned up to a single vote and it would be assumed that the voting public wouldnt elect an MP/MEP again because they didnt do their job or perhaps they should have voted somebody trustworthy in the first place to represent them

I've noticed the people that say this tend to be:

A) Old enough that it wouldn't personally affect them
B) Haven't ever served in the forces themselves.

You need to find the company of a better class of young person, those to whom patriotism isn't a dirty word, or those that have experienced what the NHS have done for the grand parents when supposedly being cared for under its auspices. Speak to young people in military uniform, the ones who are now risking, or will have to in the future, risk their necks defending you from our adversaries, whilst the Liberal peace lovers hide behind their curtains.

I know countless people under thirty who think and say similarly to myself.

looked like Warsaw

Cool, Warsaw is a fantastic city:

Indeed but still. We are where we are.

Makes you wonder why more people from the UK who support free movement of labour don't move to Warsaw.

It's clearly lovely, it must be better living there than in a typically dull English town.
