Farcry 3 on offer on steam

Bought and installed it just fine. In my first 25mins I have had two hard lockups on a machine more than enough to run it. Given that it relies on checkpoint sodding saves means that I am losing a lot of time with each crash :/

Edit: Never had an issue with uplay tbh. Works just fine.

The loading things image thing just carries on spinning around from gun to other images. Does this happen for other people?

edit - I timed it and it takes 3 minutes 30 seconds to from pressing play to get to the first video. This cant be right can it?

Install time, excited now, I was suppose to be watching a movie with the Mrs, think I can get at least 2 hours in game before I have to do that...
 
mine loads up straight away too, i got a code for the lost expeditions version for 9.99 buy it now off the bay a few weeks ago
im loving the game, finished it once on survivour and just got to 100% today on warrior so ive re-set the outposts and doing them again on master :)

You could look at it as it going take you longer to complete now so your getting better value for money.....:D
 
ok....i've been playing for 4 days, but there's an area on the SW of the map that i cant visit, it sais ``leaving mission area, turn around in 5 seconds``

there are loads of radio masts here/ enemy camps, i've done everywhere else and just got hold of that ``relic knife``, but the S.W i'm not allowed to explore..... very strange

Is the area you're leaving highlighted blue?

yes it's in the S.W outside the highlighted blue area, this area is large with loads of red markers, i'm trying to get there in a speedboat, i have another 10 radio masts to get working.

it's about 1/4 of the whole map so it's quite a large area to explore, i cant reach it from any other direction, the game is telling me that i'm missing 10 masts so i'm guessing that this area should be available to explore

I noticed this last weekend by pure luck, been waiting to buy fc3 for ages. The 1st time I have bought a game off steam! FC1 was always my favorite game, played it about 5 times on the hardest setting but always felt a bit guilty for having a slightly dodgy copy of it. Conscience now clear as I bought the £25 bundle with all 3 games. Never played fc2 so looking forward to that.
Also for once virgin media was on form & romped the 12+ gig of the 3 games down in now time at all :)

you get there once you complete mission #23 "fly south" ;)
