I see Corsair is selling new SSD hard drives the reactor and nova, are these going to be the best on the market speed wise in as much as in real world use or is the Intel X25-M Mainstream still king for making a pc feel snappy in real world applications?. At the moment I use a Western Digital VelociRaptor 300GB but am looking to get a SSD now, what SSD would you recomend to replace it with?. So many to choose from its hard to know what one to get.

You won't be disapointed if you bought the intel it's probably the fasted drive out there for small file transfer and thats what matters for OS drives.

I was speaking to a tech guy today from OCUK and he recommended the intel mainstream 80gb. I was then looking round the site and I came across those new corsair reactors and I have to say im tempted to order one. Ive been after a ssd for a while and then it gives me good reason to go to windows 7 so I can get trim support and the DX11 for the new nvidia cards. All is gravy baby.

I have the funds to buy an SSD now but am waiting to see what the next batch of SSDs are like. I do like the look of the Corsair Nova SSD. However, OCZ are releasing the Vertex 2 and Crucial are bringing out their C300. It will be interesting to see what Intel release as well.
