Fasting

The answer to a lot of things like this in my basic and uneducated opinion is to eat healthy and exercise. The more you do both those things the more fun they become until you get to the point you miss doing them and couldn't stand junk and no exercise.

The way I see it, is that a lot of people don't stick at these things long enough to get to that point. I've also noticed, many people go from 0 --> 100% and wonder why they can't handle it and think it's going to be like that forever. Slow and steady changes.

Replace one meal a day for something healthy, or just eat an apple every other day to start. Something, anything. When that becomes normal, change another small part until a year down the road you're eating super healthy and you didn't even really know it. Same with exercise.

It means that you're intermittently fasting and the OP is going on a 48 hour water detox, which are not the same thing.

Misunderstood his statement, I was under the impression he will be doing IF 5/2.

so are you doing the 5/2 thingy? i.e. 5 days eating normally, 2 days restricted calories, where your only meal is tea?

My meal is not in a cup, with a teabag in it... it's at night ... dinner time ;)

So starve yourself for 3 days for health benefits then go back to eating the same old crap. I would have thought making a commitment to eating properly and exercise permanently would have more benefit. Problem is it takes more effort so pretty unrealistic for most of the population.

OP, how did your detox go?
How did you feel?
Did it help in anyway?
Will you do it again?
We need to hear the results.
