Hi

Right, I bought Lost Odyssey, a four disk game, for the 360 a while back from a high street store, unde the 'Re-play' label, i.e. it was used. It was about three months back or so.

I am quite busy during work periods but I am now on a two month holiday so decided to dig in to the game. I have got to disk four but it just will not work. There are no visible scrathes, it just will not recognise the disk. Looking on the 'net it was a common problem with disk four.

What on Earth do I do? Do I return it to the shop, with no hope of finding the receipt, or the distributor or what? Or am I goosed? Doomed never to play the fourth disk ever? Has anybody any experiences?

Ta for any help!

never play it before
but

could u not borrow it of a friend and DONT know if u can cause
its the fourth disk from the game

copy it to your harddrive -- iam not sure if you can cause its the fourth disk

cause my gears of war was the same and couldnt play on gridlock so i borrowed it on my m8 and copyed it from his disk to my hd and it works great

Cheers. I have noticed that MS have a disk replacement program but it costs £10. As the disk was shipped faulty I will try my luck for free.

Cheers for the replies!

I honestly think your only way is to buy another copy. MS aren't going to replace your disc just like that, not for free anyway.

There should have been a recall if this is a known issue with the 4th disc. Quite shocking tbo.

If you havent damaged the disk, You're best phoning MS to claim a new one for free. You dont have to tell them you bought it preowned. You just say I bought the game, I've played the game, and when i get to disk 4 the disk doesnt work. It's never even been out of its little sleave! This is where you then push for a free replacement of the disk, Considering the fault is not with you.

Surely MS aren't going to do this for everyone that phones asking for a replacement?

If the 4th disc is a known issue, why hasn't there been some sort of a return service set up?

i got the same problem i just got to the fourth disc and i can't install it the HDD or play play it normally, just emailed MS and now waiting for a reply

Just seems to me that it's the same with all things you buy, If you buy it broke you're entitled to a replacement. Can't hurt to try :)
